An update from The Parent’s Association…

What a quick term that was. August to December flew by in a blink of an eye! We at the Parent’s Association have had a very busy few months of fundraising at Scoil Oilibhéir Naofa. A new committee was appointed at our first meeting of the school year back in September. Our new officers comprise of Charmaine Wasylkiw and Carmel Saul as co-treasurers, Bernadette Brandsma in the role of secretary and we are sharing the role of Chairperson. All of our fundraisers for the year 2019/2020 are being utilised to buy new IT equipment for S.O.N. So far, we as a school have raised over €3,000, which is an excellent start! Thank you all for your support for our events. Our first fundraiser of the school year was the Hallowe’en Disco, which was a brilliant success. The children all had a fantastic time and it was lovely to see them enjoying dancing with their friends. This year we decided to create Christmas Cards printed with individual drawings by each child for you all the purchase. The results were beautiful and we are certain that your friends and families will enjoy receiving personalised cards designed by your little ones. The sale of the Educate.ie Christmas Annuals was well received within the school, with all profits going directly to the school. In the New Year, we hope to continue our fundraising efforts with a Cash for Clobber Clothes Collection in January, a Valentine’s disco in February and a cake sale to fund our Communion parties and Grandparent’s Day. We are always looking for volunteers for our events. If you would like to be added to our volunteer list to give an hour of your time to S.O.N, please email Bernadette at [email protected] Thank you for your continued support for the Parents Association's fundraisers, it is so much appreciated. Wishing you all a very Happy Christmas & a Prosperous New Year! Katrina and Louise Chairpersons of The Parent’s Association
