We are bringing a captivating, hands-on experience to young adults in downtown Orlando through late-night science festivals called “Science After Hours”

Razor Statement

Page 14: Science After Hours

What: Getting young adults pumped about raising their Sci-Q.

Why: Because adults are losing interest and…SCIENCE IS AWESOME!

What and Why

Page 15: Science After Hours

Children are beautifully engrossed and captivated with science, but as we age we lose touch with that curiosity and our innate desire to play and create. We want to bring this excitement, fun, and engagement to an older audience, inspiring people to continue learning as part of their daily life.

15 Second Pitch

Page 16: Science After Hours

We want people to come away from Science After Hours as stoked as they were when they got there. They’ll pick up some sweet Sci-Q points through some dank experiments we throw down. They’ll get home, post and share all their favorite parts to their friends, and suddenly California is talking about it. It’s gonna be raw.

End User Experience

Page 17: Science After Hours

Jay Taylor is 21 years old in a college fraternity at UCF studying business. He hasn’t been into science since Bill Nye quit ruling 4th period, but he is very much interested in a dank party downtown. He sees some hilarious and legit posters and flyers and BAM: UCFs entire Greek scene is going.

In a nutshell we have changed things around to work on a smaller scale for the SURE event.

Our biggest Challenge: What engaging examples should we use at the event? (Lets keep it on the Cheaps…)

Schedule

Page 22: Science After Hours

Eventually this project could spread from city to city as it becomes a sensation in American nightlife. Apps will be created to track where and when the next events are for you, and marketing will go into billboards, street art, clubs, social media, print and events to keep the creative juices flowing!
