Schools in Great Britain
Education System
• Primary school (5-11 years old)• Secondary School (11-16 years old)• Sixth Form or College (16-18 years old)• University (18 + years old)
Primary School
Children go to school at the age of 5 years old.
They read, write, draw, count, play games and sing songs.
Secondary School
• When students are 11 years old, they go to the secondary school. They study a lot of subjects: Science, History, Geography, English, Maths and IT. Children wear uniforms.
Sixth Form
• Teenagers have their exams at 16 and then they go to the sixth form. It helps them to get ready for the University.
• Some students go to college and get a profession there.
UNIVERSITY• At the age of 18 years old students go to
university. The most famous universities are Oxford and Cambridge.
