To develop and maximise the potential of young people through sel�ess community service, challenges of adventure, skills development and physical recreation so that they may be exceptional individuals, who can contribute e�ectively to society and the nation.

NYAA Gold· Ages 16-25· Minimum 18 months

threat (SPCA, Zoo)· Free tuition· Teaching religious education

Purpose:· To broaden experience through

involvement with others in a residential or community setting.

· Develop maturity, leadership, responsibility, and a caring attitude.

The Challenge: To undertake or initiate a project which will serve or have a bene�cial impact on the community at large.

· Living, eating and working with the locals, our participants are exposed to a culture beyond their own.

· This challenges them to exercise their initiative, creativity and camaraderie to bene�t the community at large. Eg: OCIPs

The Award Programme celebrates personal achievement that is measured against ordinary circumstances and potential capabilities.

Every participant can be a winner!After completing the programme, participants are invited to an award ceremony. They will receive a certi�cate personally from His Excellency, President of Singapore.

Getting the enrolment form.

The enrolment form may be obtained from mySAS. · Log in to mySAS and click on

option NYAA.· Click on new NYAA application

and �ll up the form accordingly. Print, get parent’s signature.

· Bring $17 and submit form to Ms Khoo Kim Kuan (Department of Student Development).

Pre-camp training in areas of camp craft, orienteering and �rst aid are highly encouraged.

· This challenges them to exercise their initiative, creativity and camaraderie to bene�t the community at large. Eg: OCIPs

The Award Programme celebrates personal achievement that is measured against ordinary circumstances and potential capabilities.

Every participant can be a winner!After completing the programme, participants are invited to an award ceremony. They will receive a certi�cate personally from His Excellency, President of Singapore.

To develop and maximise the potential of young people through sel�ess community service, challenges of adventure, skills development and physical recreation so that they may be exceptional individuals, who can contribute e�ectively to society and the nation.

NYAA Gold· Ages 16-25· Minimum 18 months

(For Silver Award recipients : Minimum 12 months)

Minimum age to receive an Award:

BRONZE: 14 years old

SILVER: 15 years old (15.5 years old for Bronze Award recipients)

GOLD: 16 years old (17 years old for Silver Award recipients)

Purpose: · To develop a sense of responsibility to the

community and become better citizens.· To experience community building and

bonding through service.· To learn by helping others.

Examples:· Volunteering at Hospitals and Care Centres· Helping at Senior Citizens’ Club· Helping at Children’s Home· Helping at Nursing Home· Working with the disabled / handicapped· Youth and outreach work· Working with CDCs· Service to school· Charity work· Caring for animals under

threat (SPCA, Zoo)· Free tuition· Teaching religious education

involvement with others in a residential or community setting.

· Develop maturity, leadership, responsibility, and a caring attitude.

The Challenge: To undertake or initiate a project which will serve or have a bene�cial impact on the community at large.

· Living, eating and working with the locals, our participants are exposed to a culture beyond their own.

· This challenges them to exercise their initiative, creativity and camaraderie to bene�t the community at large. Eg: OCIPs

The Award Programme celebrates personal achievement that is measured against ordinary circumstances and potential capabilities.

Every participant can be a winner!After completing the programme, participants are invited to an award ceremony. They will receive a certi�cate personally from His Excellency, President of Singapore.
