Box 123, Montrose Ph 9728 2203, Fax: 9761 9359 Message from the Principal Hi Everyone Welcome back everyone after a rather warm vacation. The extreme heat played a bit of havoc with works over the break. The new portable works were put be- hind as painters and roof plumbers battled the heat. However, both 6D and 6G managed to start the year in their new rooms. I thank you for your patience as the final site works are completed. It is planned that all temporary fencing will be gone by the end of the week. Over the break we also had two classrooms painted internally and four painted outside along with the Mu- sic/Drama rooms. They look amazingly fresh. Bike Security: As the bike shed has been demolished we are encouraging all bike riders to have their own lock and chain. Planning and Costing meetings for the new Gymnasium were also held over the holidays. Next Tuesday the planning committee will have our latest submission checked and hopefully verified so that the project moves on to the next stage of planning. At present, we have settled on a general floor plan and orientation. The next set of designs go into greater detail showing orientations and internal/external fittings. We will share the designs once they stop being as fluid as they are up until this stage. Vacation: Unfortunately, the boys toilet gate lock mechanism was smashed and the vandals then smashed two of the wall mirrors above the hand basin. Thanks to the family that reported this and allowed us to make the toilet secure before more damage could be done. Please feel welcome to come up and play basketball, ride bikes/scooters/skates or walk the dog (make sure doggy bags are on hand) after school hours. Having a presence of community members doing the right thing within the school grounds is a great deterrent to those inclined to mischief. Family news: Mrs Pecher has welcomed a baby boy, Samuel, to her family. Mrs Brennan has welcomed a baby girl, Evie to the Brennan family. Mrs Sheppard proudly announces the birth of a baby girl, Dayla. All mothers and babies are doing well! Message from the Principal

Hi Everyone

Welcome back everyone after a rather warm vacation. The extreme heat played a bit of havoc with works over the break. The new portable works were put be-hind as painters and roof plumbers battled the heat. However, both 6D and 6G managed to start the year in their new rooms. I thank you for your patience as the final site works are completed. It is planned that all temporary fencing will be gone by the end of the week.

Over the break we also had two classrooms painted internally and four painted outside along with the Mu-sic/Drama rooms.

Vacation: Unfortunately, the boys’ toilet gate lock mechanism was smashed and the vandals then smashed two of the wall mirrors above the hand basin.
