DescriptionThis course will provide participants with classroom and hands-on exposure to the  Masterpact NW Circuit Breaker, and will provide the students with the opportunity to safely operate and maintain the installed equipment at their locations.

Target AudienceMaintenance Personnel

Equipment● High Current test set for Primary Injection testing

● Insulation resistance test set ● Contact resistance test set ● Multimeter

Objectives● Identify the components of a VR circuit breaker and list their functions

● List the three positions of a NW circuit breaker in PZ4 Switchgear and identify the position indications associated with each

● Demonstrate the ability to safely insert and remove a NW breaker from a PZ4 Switchgear cell ● Demonstrate the ability to safely rack in and rack out a NW circuit breaker ● Demonstrate the ability to safely open and close a NW circuit breaker ● Demonstrate the ability to safely start-up and perform manufacturer’s recommended maintenance on a NW circuit breaker

● Lockout/tagout procedures

● One line and three line diagrams
