BROWSER UPGRADE
In order to login and use the visa portal site without any issue, please make sure that you are using Internet
Explorer browser version 11.
How to check your browser version:
Open your IE browser Help and select “About Internet Explorer“
It will show below window showing if your browser version is 9 or 11
If the version is 9 then you need to upgrade to Internet Explorer 11 (Refer to next step)
How to upgrade to IE 11:

NEW APPLICATION FOR VISA STEP 1: Login
1) Enter your unique GIN No. provided to you by Schlumberger. (appearing on your access card) 2) Enter your official Schlumberger email address (e.g. [email protected]). Portal does not accept any other email address.
3) Enter the text displayed by the ‘Captcha’ authenticator-Not case sensitive (computer generated text to distinguish human from machine input)
Step 2: Update Personal Information
All fields are mandatory
Details provided will assist SLB-MLC administration to review and approve the visa application to be processed by Sharaf
Travel and is required by the UAE ministry of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs to process your visa
application
Please enter the correct details requested in the page. Most of the fields are self-explanatory.
1) Passport expiry date should be not less than 6 months from the current date
2) Arrival date can be selected only from a date range starting from current date + 4days
3) Upload image of your Schlumberger corporate badge(front and back)
4) Once done proceed to the next step by clicking ‘Next’ button.
5) At any stage if you wish to Save the information you filled, click the ‘Save’ button. System will generate your application id
and send it to your email address. This is can be used to view/track your saved application.

STEP 3: Upload Passport Copy
1) Kindly note the System generated Unique Application Number for your future reference, once saved the Application
number will be sent to your email address.
2) Upload a copy of your passport. Click ‘Add more’ to upload multiple files. Maximum of 4 files can be uploaded, accepted
file types JPG
3) Upload passport photo as per the specifications as listed below:
Dimensions: 4.3 cm x 5.5 cm
File Size: should be 32-36 KB File
Type: jpg Colored and clear

4) Review and agree the terms and conditions to proceed further

STEP 4: Application Review
1) You are requested to review your application before you proceed to the next page. The next step would be the
payment gateway. No changes would be permitted once the payment is processed.
2) If you wish to modify the details press the ‘back’ button

1) The system accepts only Visa or Master Credit & Debit Cards.

TRACK YOUR VISA APPLICATION

STATUS: Approved When Schlumberger segment training coordinator approves the application; the applicant shall be notified via email,
simultaneously the status will be updated to “Approved” on the visa portal.
STATUS: Visa under Process When the visa has been submitted to the Immigration for processing; the applicant shall be notified via email, simultaneously
the status will be updated to “Visa Under process” on the visa portal.

STATUS: Request for Information If any information is not to the satisfaction of the Immigration Department, a notification email will simultaneously be sent to
the applicant and Schlumberger segment coordinator. The same information will be updated on the visa portal.
STATUS: Completed Once the visa process is complete, a notification email attached with the visa will be sent to the applicant. The same
information will be updated on the visa portal. The visa can also be downloaded from the portal.

STATUS: Rejected Under any circumstance if a visa application has been rejected by the immigration department the applicant shall be notified via
email, simultaneously the status will be updated to “Rejected” on the visa portal
STATUS: Refunded
In case that the visa application is rejected by the Schlumberger segment training administrator the visa fees will be refunded
to your card within 15 working days. In case that the visa is rejected by the Immigration the visa fees will NOT be refunded

What browsers do you support?
The following is a list of browsers tested to work with the site: Internet Explorer 11; Google Chrome 45; Mozilla 41. If you are
not using one of the tested Web Browsers you may encounter errors when creating your account and applications.
APPLICATION COMPLETION
What documents (Soft copies) do I need to keep ready when I use the Visa Portal?
Scanned Schlumberger Corporate badge (Front and backside)
Scanned passport copy front page in jpg format not more than 100KB.
Scanned passport extension page (If any) in jpg format not more than 100KB
Scanned passport last page (Certain Nationals who have the address mentioned in the last page for Example: Sri
Lankan/Indian Passports) in jpg format
Can I choose the language I complete the application form in? No, you must fill in the application form in English only. I have questions about filling out my application. Where can I get help?
If the questions are related to your course you can get in touch with your segment administrator at Schlumberger. If you have
any queries related to your passport or the VISA you can always send us an email on [email protected] your query

How do I change my passport Details once I make the payment online?
Once the payment is made you will not be able to make changes on your application. You can send an email to your segment
coordinator and copy [email protected] about the changes and we will keep you updated.
Where can I find the Terms & Conditions :
The page 20 of the user guide has all the terms and conditions and the same information is updated on step 3 of the VISA
portal these Terms & Conditions have to be agreed to proceed with the visa application , areas highlighted in yellow.
ERRORS
Why am I experiencing problems with my Account or Application while I try to register?
The site has been tested with specific web browsers. Please ensure you are using one of the tested browsers listed under
Browser Support before you proceed. You may be unable to proceed or receive error messages when using browsers that
have not been tested with our site.
Why can't I log in to?
Check your email address is in the correct format: [email protected]. please ensure you are using the correct
Schlumberger email address and Gin Number.
PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
How do I pay for my application?

On Step 5 of the VISA portal we have displayed all the online payment methods we accept and at the moment we accept
VISA/Master Debit and Credit card.
Refunds:
If Schlumberger segment coordinator rejects your application the Refund will be initiated and your card will be credited in the
next 15 days. You will be updated on email.
If your VISA is rejected by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA-D) an email will be
generated and you will be updated accordingly in such cases full charges will apply an no refund will be initiated.
GENERAL FAQ’S
Am I guaranteed entry to the UAE?
The decision to grant entry visas to the UAE is entirely at the discretion of the country’s immigration authorities – Emirates and VFS Global cannot guarantee that your visa application will be accepted. The granting of a visa does not guarantee entry to the UAE: the final decision is made by immigration officers at the point of entry.
How long does it take to get a visa?
Provided all required documents are submitted correctly, visas are normally issued by email within four working days of your
application.
My passport is expiring soon – can I still get a visa?
The UAE requires all visitors to have a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date of arrival. If your passport is
valid for less than six months, you will need to renew it before you can apply for a visa and travel to the UAE.
How will I receive my visa? All visas are sent by email, to the email address given at the start of the application process. A copy of the VISA will be uploaded on the VISA portal as well. Why was my visa application rejected? Unfortunately, the UAE authorities do not give reasons for rejecting visa applications, so we cannot provide specific reasons why your application was unsuccessful. In most cases it will be mentioned due to CID clearance.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Visa & the visa application requirements are subject to revision without advance notification or at short notice as mandated by
the Immigration Department. Visas once submitted are subject to applicable charges. Sharaf Travel will not be held
responsible for any rejections or delays of visa applications. Visa approvals shall remain at the sole discretion of the UAE
Immigration.
There will be no grace period for any visa type and it will be considered as an over stay immediately upon expiry of respective
visa validity period.
1. Visa application cannot be considered as a Visa issuance guarantee. UAE Government is the sole authority to
accept or reject any application within its own deadlines.
2. Once accepted visa charges will apply, including rejection by General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs-
Dubai (GDRFA-D)
3. Online visas enable tourists to arrive/depart from/to any of the UAE airports.

4. Clearly scanned passport copies must accompany a visa application form with complete details.
5. Overstay constitutes an offence in UAE and commands a penalty charge of AED200 on the first day, plus AED100
for each day thereafter. A total penalty of AED5000 plus one-way ticket fare will be levied to Sharaf Travel in case of
overstay, which will be passed on to the applicant.
6. In case of extended overstay, the offender may be summoned to court and heavier penalty will occur.
7. Entry permit is only valid for entry and duration of stay in the specified period mentioned at the top of the document.
8. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the intended day of arrival.
9. AED100 will be charged for requesting Original (pink) copy for Philippines/Ethiopian nationals travelling from their
home country only. (If requested)
10. For 30 days Single Entry Tourist Visa, the duration of stay is 30 days from the date of entry and is non-extendable.
11. For 90 days Single Entry Tourist Visa, the duration of stay is 90 days from the date of entry is non-extendable.
