Scanner Plugin Reinstallation

SCANNER DRIVER REINSTALLATION CareCloud has updated the driver used to scan into the application. This upgrade

requires the previous driver to be removed and a new driver to be installed. Below are

the steps to uninstall the old driver and install the new driver.

PART 01 UPDATE CHROME BROWSER (IF APPLICABLE)

1. Open Chrome 2. Open Chrome Settings

a. On Windows - click on Customize and Control Google Chrome on the top right of the browser and select Settings

b. On Mac - go to the Chrome application menu and select About Google Chrome

3. An About tab will open and the update will be begin automatically

4. Once completed you will be prompted to Relaunch

PART 02 UNINSTALL DYNAMIC WEB TWAIN SCANNER DRIVER WINDOWS

1. Close all open browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc) 2. Open Control Panel

a. Go to Start or Windows icon b. Click on Control Panel c. Programs > Select Uninstall a program or Programs and Features

3. Find the Driver named Dynamic Web TWAIN 4. Right-click and select Uninstall

1. Quit all open browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc)

2. Open a new Finder window by clicking on the Finder icon in the Dock 3. Click Applications in the Finder window 4. Find the folder named Dynamsoft and open it 5. Open the folders WebTwain then 11.0.0.713 and double-click on Uninstall.pkg

6. Follow the steps in the Uninstall wizard. Once installation is successfully completed, click on Close

PART 03 INSTALL NEW DYNAMIC WEB TWAIN SCANNER DRIVER

1. Once the previous driver has been removed, navigate to: https://community.carecloud.com/scanner/install

2. Follow the instructions to install the latest Dynamic Web TWAIN scanner driver specific to the operating system

3. After the driver is successfully installed, Restart the browser and navigate to the desired module in CareCloud to retry scanning

You'll know the new driver was installed successfully when the scanner appears in the device dropdown in CareCloud.
