I am occasionally asked if I have any feedback regarding a firm/individual who advertises in the Village News: most of the time I don’t. It would be great to be of more help to those who ask, and I would appreciate any comments you may have about the firms/individuals you may have used.
Scalford Parish Council
The next meeting will be held on
Wednesday, 10th November at 7.30 pm in the school

Allotments The Parish Council has received an invoice from Severn Trent Water which indicates that the cost for a year’s water supply at the Horsepool allotments exceeds the annual income from the rent. Please note that hosepipes should not be used on the allotments. There have been several complaints recently about some allotments not being properly kept. All allotments should be maintained in good condition; weeds should not be allowed to grow, spread and seed on neighbouring properties/allotments, and rubbish should not be left lying around. It is difficult to justify a waiting list when some allotments appear to be uncultivated. Thank you. Sue Watford, clerk, tel. 01949 861256; [email protected] : 4 Stathern Road, Eastwell, LE14 4EN

condition. This is a truth we know in our
minds but tend to resist in our hearts. Change
happens all around us, all the time, yet we
long for the predictable, the consistent. We
want the reassurance that comes from things
remaining the same. Yoga philosophy offers
an alternative to these tendencies. It is about
living in the unchanging, eternal present.
