1/2 NOTICE Registration for the Exams via Internet The registration is only possible from October 24, to November 5, 2012, 11.59 (midnight) ATTENTION: Late exam registrations will only be accepted within the period specified by the Audit Committee and only with a valid reason. Late exam registrations require the approval of the Audit Committee chairman , § 6, paragraph 1, sentence 4 APO. Applicants are therefore obligated to first seek the approval of the Audit Commission chairman. A valid reason acc. to § 6, paragraph 1, sentence 4 APO is rather rare; any form of illness, for example, has to be verified via a doctor’s certification. Once approval has been obtained, the applicant must then register the exam at Student Services (Studierendenservice) and pay a registration fee of €10. The deadline for the subsequent registration is December 10th, 2012. All late exam registrations must be received by the Audit Committee by this time. The registration for the examinations will be carried out only via internet. Please use our PAPI-programme: https://virtuohm.ohmportal.de/pruefungsanmeldung If you have technical problems, please contact our hotline (5880-4848 from Mon to Fri 8.00 – 12.00 h, 13.00 – 16.00 h). In rare cases, when the hotline staff will not be able to assist you, please urgently contact your caseworker at the Studierendenservice ([email protected] ). Once you have registered, you can produce and print the list of the exams you want to sit for. A confirmation of the registration will also automatically be sent to your OHM-email account . Student Services will not issue any additional confirmation. Once the exam registration period is over (on the 5 th November 2012), you will receive another email from the IT-center confirming a list of exams you have registered for. Please check the list immediately, so that Student Services will still be able to make changes if necessary. Please note: Only those exam registrations which are posted on the public information boards are binding . The registration confirmation which is sent to your university email-account is just for your information and is not binding. Therefore, please check the public announcement boards and come to see a clerk at the Studierendenservice if you have any inquiries. Important for the exam: The OHMcard is only valid if it has been signed. A missing or illegible signature on the OHMcard means that an identification card with a photo on it must be presented. Applications to Compensate for Disadvantage: Applications to compensate for disadvantage should be made in accordance with § 5 Abs. 2 RaPO in written form and has to be submitted with the registration for examination, at the l atest. Automatic Exam Registration If you have to repeat certain exams in the winter semester 2012/13, you will not automatically be registered for these exams. You are responsible for gathering information pertaining to the applicable terms for taking exams again; you are also responsible for registering for exams you have to sit again. If you do not want to resit, you have to apply for extension. Once the extension has been approved by the examination board, the registration will be deleted by members of Student Services. A deregistration via PAPI is not possible. If you have registered for General Elective subjects (AW) or for subjects offered by the Language Center at the beginning of the winter semester 2012/13, you will automatically be registered for the exams as well (NOTE: This is not true for exams you have to sit again). These exam registrations can be deleted in PAPI by yourself if you do not want to sit for the exam.
