• Philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies.• Set up to help underprivileged children and young people of our country realize their potential.

• Satya Bharti School Program• Flagship program of Bharti Foundation.• It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus on the girl child across rural India.• Goal to establish 500 Primary and 50 Senior Schools reaching out to over 200,000 students

• Present Operational Status• Number of Schools Operational:250• States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu & West Bengal • Number of Students Enrolled: Over 36,000

About the Community

• Geographical Location

• Situated in north from Mahendergarh district

• Semi dessert area

• Water level – 300 Ft.

• Cultural Background of Community

• Major Cast – Rajput, Yadav, Harizan etc.

• Major source of earning – Agriculture labour, some family members are

serving in services

• Population – 4115

We ‘Felt’:

• Some parent get their children marriage before age of 18

year

• Due too this many girls are not able to complete their

education

• This is social evil and crime also

• In our constitution boy and girl age for marriage is 21 &

18 years

We ‘Imagined’

• Awareness generation regarding evil of child marriage

• All villagers will ensure to child marriage is done in village

• House to house contact will be done

• Healthy family in our village

• RALLY BY STUDENT FOR AWARENESS

• DOOR TO DOOR CONTACT

Impact on Community:

• Community realized this

should be stopped

• Many parents took oath

to stop child marriage

• Villagers were happy to

see such initiative by

students

• This activity motivated us and now we are confident that we

can take more community development issues

• We will always oppose child marriage

• Villagers were happy to see such initiative by students

• We got legal information about child marriage

The Road Ahead…..(in the next 3 months)

• Oath ceremony will be organized in Annual School Day

• Discussion to stop child marriage will de done in upcoming

Parent Teacher Meet.

• Regular emphasis will given on awareness generation to stop

child marriage
