Other terms PDF, PDF-based forms, print forms, interactive forms, Adobe Document Services Reason and Prerequisites This note tells you which version of Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader you require. Solution The required Reader version depends on your usage situation. For SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe, we generally recommend the following: Adobe Acrobat as of Version 9.4 Adobe Reader as of Version 9.4 You can download a free Reader version from the Adobe web site at www.adobe.com. In Reader and Acrobat you can check the version and, if necessary, download an update: choose Help -> Check for updates now. At http://www.adobe.com/support/products/enterprise/eol/eol_matrix.html, you can check whether the Reader version is available and supported by Adobe. If this is not the case, use a newer version. Note the following usage cases: Print forms If you use Adobe Reader only for the print preview of an non-interactive form, you can use a lower Reader release (6.0.4 or higher). Note that the reader in this case displays one or two messages when you call a PDF form. One message offers the upgrade to a higher version. The other message informs you about new functions in the PDF, for which you require a higher Reader version. You cannot suppress these messages, but you can ignore them if you use the print preview only. Also note that an older Reader version may not display an accessible PDF form correctly. Interactive forms If you require forms for one of the scenarios listed below, you must use Reader 9.4 or higher, or Acrobat 9.4 or higher.
