Sunny days and comfortable temperatures make it an absolute paradise for outdoor sports like surfing, swimming, biking, running and hiking. City Information The City You are guaranteed to see many beautiful places in San Diego, as well as do many fun things. San Diego has a small town appeal, but with many attractions. If you're the type of person who loves the ocean and sunshine (and who doesn't?), there are plenty of beaches in San Diego that you can visit. If you like being outside, there is swimming, surfing, jet skiing, boating, hiking and camping to name a few. If you are not at the beach enjoying the ocean waves you can visit one of the many theme parks that San Diego is famous for. You can visit Shamu at SeaWorld, see the animals at the San Diego Zoo or check out San Diego’s Wild Animal Park. There are also many shopping malls to choose from if shopping is your thing. Major local events San Diego is first and foremost a beach community, so if you love being in and around the water, this place is for you: snorkeling, kayaking, jet-skiing, kite surfing, or just sunbathing; it’s all happening here. Shop till you drop at the famous Las Americas outlet which is near the Mexico border. If you like baseball you should go to Petco Park or if American Football interests you, definitely catch a game at Qualcomm Stadium. Los Angeles is also very close to San Diego and on weekends you can visit there and see Santa Monica and the Hollywood stars. If you like visiting museums and learning about America History, then visit Balboa Park! It has 16 different museums and the world-famous ZOO.
