SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY GOOD FOR THE SOCIETY
SCIENCE
“Science refers to that dynamic, cumulative system of verifiable concepts, principles, methods, laws, theories and processes which seek to describe, understand, and predict natural phenomena.” (Posadas, 1982)
TECHNOLOGY
“…that dynamic cumulative system of reproducible methods, techniques, and processes which may be derived from empirical know-how or scientific knowledge and which are used by human societies for the production, improvement, and distribution of goods and services as well as the satisfaction of other material needs.” (Posadas, 1982)

Food and water are two of the main things that people need to survive. When it comes to these two basic human needs, science and technology help us:
obtain clean water better our food
supply develop ways on
food preservation.
Summary:Science and technology are invaluable to different areas of our society such as medicine, education, communication and food development. For instrumentalists, technology has no morality and I believe we can also say the same for science. At the end of the day, it is up to us, the members of our society, if we want to use them for the betterment or detriment of our society. In spite of some bad side effects that resulted from S&T advancements, the fact still remains that both science and technology have immensely benefitted our society’s growth.
