THE 2020 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL “BLESSING GOD’S FAMILY”

The ACA is beginning in our parish. Please prayer-fully consider what you can pledge to support the educational, spiritual and outreach serves offered by our diocese which serve people in ways that we as an individual parish could never do. You should have /will receive(ed) a letter from Bishop Johnston. If you have not mailed in the card, please bring it with you next weekend when you come to Mass and place it in the collection.

CHARITABLE GIVING Did you know you can designate your parish as ben-eficiary on your stocks and bank accounts? It costs nothing to change the beneficiary on your accounts and will mean everything to our future parish com-munity. It’s called a “transfer on death” designation for stocks, and a “payable on death” designation for financial institution accounts. By naming our parish as beneficiary, you'll provide lasting financial sup-port and possibly qualify for tax benefits as well. To name your parish as a beneficiary, contact parish staff with questions. Or, contact Laura Gray at [email protected], 816-714-2363. ___________________________________________________ _

WELCOME: To help us keep current on our parish community members, please help us with the following information: ____ I am new to the Church ____ I am moving from the Church ____ I would like more information about the Church. Hello parishioners! Second quarter is off to a great start! We celebrated the 1st-8th grade students who achieved their AR Accuracy Aces goal for the first quarter with ”Sonic trophies!” Not only did these kiddos have to earn points on each reading compre-hension test (which each student has an individual goal set for their needs), but they also have to maintain an 85% or higher accuracy average for the quarter. Overall we had 60 students make their goal!!! (pictured below) Woohoo! I think the most excited were the first graders - this was their first time to be part of this reading tradition! Way to go Saints! Don’t forget Turkey Dinner is coming up -- Sunday, Nov. 3. The following week (Nov 4-8) we will join NCEA in a national effort to discover Catholic schools as we join in the first annual “Discover Catholic Schools Week.” This is a week to invite the community to “discover” what Catholic schools have to offer stu-dents and families - we will have activities happening at school that encourage education and awareness about who Holy Rosary is and our mission. We invite you to spread the word about what our school does for its students and our community - how together we de-velop students’ minds, character, and spirit in a very positive and Christ-centered way. More to come... Thank you for your continued support of the school. Have a great week - Mrs. Andrea Harris
