REFLECTION

“But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you…” (Matthew 5:44)

Love your enemies, easier said than done, no doubt. But, remember, the foundation of

stewardship is prayer. When we are in close communication with God, it opens our heart and

it turns our attention away from “me” and moves it towards God and others. It allows us to

have a little more empathy for “our enemy.” When we pray for others, even “our enemies,”

maybe it softens their hearts as well.

LEAVE A LEGACY: There are no small gifts in the eyes of our Lord. A bequest of any

size is an ultimate expression of stewardship and demonstrates your appreciation for the gifts

you have received.

As we look at our lives and the many ways God has blessed us, let us

give back a proportionate gift to the Diocesan Support Appeal as a way

of saying thank you to the Lord. God will never be outdone in

generosity. If you did not turn in your completed pledge envelope during

today’s Mass, you may complete a pledge envelope and return it to the Parish Office or go to

charlottediocese.org/dsa to make a gift online. Our DSA 2020 assessment is $23,363.00

ALLERGY/FLU SEASON

It is allergy/flu season again. If you have it, please share your act of charity

Christ, we receive the whole Christ. Thank you for understanding.

REDISCOVER JESUS Lenten Book Study for Women

Do you want to get to know Jesus better this Lent? Women of all ages are invited to join in a

book study of Rediscover Jesus by Matthew Kelly of Dynamic Catholic. It will include prayer,

reflection, and discussion designed to answer some of life's toughest questions and encounter

Jesus in the answers. We will meet on Monday evenings during Lent. Contact the church office

to sign up, or contact Lori Hodges by phone or text at (904)200-5873 or by email

at [email protected] for more information.
