Fifth Sunday of Lent

good use in building God’s kingdom?

Did you know that CRS Rice Bowl has a free Lenten app?

Lenten reflections right on your phone. Be sure to visit

www.crsricebowl.org to watch videos of the people and

communities your Lenten gifts are changing through CRS

Rice Bowl. Return your Rice Bowl on the weekend AFTER

EASTER (April 22/23) to the basket in the commons.

Thank you for your donations.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Catechumens, Candidates, and Inquirers will attend

OREMUS class this Wed., April 5, at 6:30 p.m. RCIA

classes will resume next Wednesday, April 12. If you know

anyone interested in becoming Catholic or learning more

about the Catholic faith, please bring them on Wednesday

evenings or contact Sydney at sydneyfarnum@stannes–

bristol.org.

RCIA Notes: These past two Sundays and at the 5:30

Mass this weekend, many of you have witnessed our Elect

participate in the Rites of Scrutiny. These Rites are

celebrated to help deliver the elect from the power of sin

and Satan, to protect them against temptation, and to give

strength in Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

The Rites of Scrutiny are meant to uncover, and then heal,

all that is weak, defective, or sinful in the elects’ hearts and

to bring out through repentance all that is upright, strong,

and good. The celebrations of the Scrutinies also remind the

whole parish community of the need to reflect on their own

sins and the need for God’s help. Please continue to pray

for our Elect, our Candidates, Catechumens, and Inquires as

they all continue their journey towards full communion

with the Catholic Church.

Presentation of the Lord’s Prayer

Thursday, April 6, 6:00 p.m. Mass Our parish will celebrate the “Presentation of the Lord’s

Prayer” this Thursday, April 6, at the 6 p.m. Mass. In this

celebration our elect will receive from us the prayer that

summarizes the whole Gospel, the Lord’s Prayer. We pray

the Lord’s Prayer as a community every weekday and

Sunday before we partake of the Lord’s meal, the Eucharist.

It is the most perfect of all prayers. Just as Jesus’ teaching

on the sermon on the Mount is teaching for life, so too, the

Lord’s Prayer is a prayer for life.

“OREMUS” - Let us Pray April 5—Session Four— “Relational Prayer”

Firm in the Storm”. Ralph Martin, an internationally

known Catholic leader and teacher, discusses the challenges

and the joys of being fully faithful to all the Church

proclaims as true. Ralph provides practical advice on how

to build our lives on rock and equip ourselves spiritually so

that we can reach out to others with true charity. He shows

how our fidelity to the Word of God will give us the

strength to stand victorious in the difficult age in which we

live. Stop by the CD display in the commons for this CD

and many other titles. A $3 donation per CD is appreciated
