The magic of the British Isles

During our summer sailing trips, the North reveals itself as a veritable treasure

trove that offers new discoveries on every single day. From the Mediterranean flair of the Channel

Islands to Ireland’s and Scotland’s lush greens – the British mainland and its offshore islands reveal

landscapes of very varied character. Ancient myths are revived among venerable castles, elegant gardens

and Celtic places of worship.

Summertime on the beauti-ful French Atlantic coast

For centuries, Brittany and Normandy have been

enchanting not just painters with their jagged cliffs,

mighty fortifications and clear light. Port towns like

Honfleur, Roscoff and Saint-Malo with nearby Mont

St Michel provide perfect motifs.

Sailing through Viking waters

Following the old Hanseatic routes, we sail to Norway’s

South where proud trading towns such as Stavanger

and Bergen await with ancient red brick merchants’

offices and elegant townhouses. A stark contrast are

spectacular natural landscapes like the Hardanger-

fjord or Lysefjord with the impressive Preikestolen or

“Pulpit Rock”.
