● Recording starts when the red lamp lights ON. Simultaneously the recording number,level, and time will be displayed. (The recording number will be the next of the last one.)
● The Play/Stop button cannot stop recording. If nothing enters within 1 minute, the unit will be automatically turned off.
● To avoid failure, perform a trial recording first.● If the recording time exceeds the
maximum, a message "FULL" appears and the recording no longer continues.
● You can record maximum 99messages in each file. If further messages are recorded, a message "FULL" will appear. At this time,record again after selecting a new file.

● The existing recording mode is displayed when the Mode button is pressed. You can select another mode by moving the selection jog button (SEL) up and down.
● Wait for about 5 seconds or press one ofthe other buttons to exit.
Select a recording mode after pressing the Mode button in stop mode.
● unit has the best sound in SP mode (Standard Period Mode).
Selecting the recording mode
● When the Mode button is pressed, "VOR OFF" wil be selected. You can select "VOR ON" by moving the selection jog button (SEL) up and down.
● If you press the Mode button during the recording, the VOR can be immediately turned ON/OFF.
Press the Mode button twice inStop mode, and then select VORON/OFF.
Selecting the VOR (VOICE OPERATING RECORD) mode
● Press the Mode button and the figure of volume adjustment will appear. You can adjust the volume by moving the selecting jog button (SEL) up and down.
To adjust the volume, press the MODEbutton three times in stop mode orpress it once during the playback.

You can check the amount ofrecording time left by pressing thePlay/Stop button long in stop modeor during the recording.

● Displayed is the amount of recording time left in the present mode.

Record after connecting an externalmicrophone to the external microphone jack(EXIT MIC JACK), as shown in the figure below.
Using an external microphone
● You can record your voice even in action by mounting the external microphone on your collar. And you can record with better sound quality when the microphone is closer to the sound source.

When the FF(fast forward) button is pressedduring the recording, the recording numberwill be increased one by one.
● You can record similar messages in the same file.

Erasing the recorded messages
1. Select the recording number you want to erase, then press and release the Erase button.● The message of selected recording number is
displayed. Then the message "Erase" appears and blinks.
2. Press the Erase button one more time.● The recorded message will be erased with a beep.

seconds in power ON. ● The A, B, C, and D files and the time
menu blink.

1. Select the file you want to erase, then press and release the Erase button.● The LCD part blinks.
2. Press the Erase button again for at least 5 seconds.● The recorded messages will be erased with a beep.
Erasing the messages recorded in a file
● When you press the FF or REW button long enough during the playback, the playback time will be increased or decreased as much. But when you press them short, the recording number will be increased or decreased then the playback will return.

Fast Forward and Rewind during the playback
● When you press the FF or REW button long enough in stop mode, the recording number will be increased or decreased fast. But when you press them short, it will be increased or decreased one by one.

Phone Recording You can record the messages from a phone (excepting digital phones).
Recording the messages from a phone
Connect an external cable to the MIC INJACK of the voice pen to the AUDIO OUTJACK of the adaptor for phone recording.

Connect the phone line to another jackof the adaptor.

Press the Record button, and themessages from the phone will be recorded.

Connect a 30 cm phone cable to thephone to the adaptor for phonerecording.

At this time the recording level is not changed by volume controller of the voice pen.
Connect an external cable to the MIC JACK of thevoice pen to the earphone jack of an externalequipment before recording.

Installing the Voice Manager
Insert the setup CD in the PC.● Saving the sound information from the voice pen in the PC
● On the PC, managing the sound files by name and subject.
● Editing in PC● E-mailing● Playback
● After the setup window appears,the setup will be automatically done. After the setup is completed, the Voice Manager icon will appear on the background screen.
● If any error happens during the setup or reinstalling needs, be sure to uninstall the program.Then redo steps 1~2.
● If the program has any problem, refer to pages 27~28.
● To see how to connect PC to Voice Pen.● At least 486 PC, which has a sound card
(English/Korean Windows 95/98)

Recording the files from the Voice Pen in your PC
Click the Recording Mode icon.1
After the recording is completed, click the Stop icon.3
Click the Play icon and check therecorded files.

● After the files from the voice pen are recorded in your PC, the waveform of the sound will appear on the screen.

Select the group you prefer from the Select group on theData Base Dialog window.

To check information related to the files, select the file you prefer from the list of files and click on the Info button.

● Do not repair, disassemble, or alter your voice pen yourself.
● If any malfunction (such as smoke or transformation due to heat) happens, remove batteries immediately.
● Do not use in airplanes or areas restrictingthe use of electronic devices.
● Avoid using the voice pen while driving or walking. It might cause some accidents.
Safety● Do not recharge, disassemble, or put the
batteries in fire.Electrolytic fluid such as fusible alkalies can flow and hurt your eyes. This can cause heatgeneration or explosion.
● When there is electrolytic fluid (such as fusible alkalies) on your clothes or skin, wash it immediately with water. When you have it in your eyes, wash it out and go see a doctor.
● Do not use different kinds of batteries together.
● When the voice pen is not used for a long time, remove the batteries.
Battery● Do not drop the voice pen or give it a
mechanical shock. It can cause its hindrance.
● Do not place the voice pen on the followings: - Hot places (60oC)- Locations exposed to the direct ray of light
or near a heater- Cars whose windows are closed - Humid places such as bathrooms- Areas with too much dust
● Do not apply excessive force to the LCD window. This can cause breakdown or malfunction.
● Avoid putting magnetic cards such as credit cards or subway passcard near the speaker. Otherwise the cards can no longer be used.
● Be understood that our company does not reimburse you for any loss from the use of the voice pen or any demand of indemnity from the third person.
● Be understood that our company does not take responsibility for any memory loss by reasons of breakdown, repair, and others.

No sound card. Install the Voice Manager programagain after inserting a sound card into your PC.
Recording or Playbackmenu becomes thestate of nonactivation
Check that the Voice Pen is connected to your PC (Sound Card).
Select the icons in the following sequence: Control panel -> Multimedia -> Audio -> Recording. Andthen check that the MIC IN is activated in the RecordingControl Window. Cancel the mute toggle or selectMicrophone from Recording control.
Recording does notwork.
Too loud sound can cause noise.Adjust the volume using the volume controller of theVoice Pen.
