Weeks of dedication and hard work definitely paid off. What a fantastic event to be involved in and such an amazing experience for our children, a night they certainly will not forget. Thank you to Tracey and all the ladies in the kitchen for our lovely Greek lunch this week, as part of Tigers, Elephants and Pandas Ancient Greek theme, what a way to bring our learning to life. Looking forward to lots more exciting events planned this term. Have a lovely weekend. Mrs K Godfrey Thank you for your continued support Severe Winter Weather In the event of any severe weather conditions that affect the academy opening; regular updates will be posted on our Twitter page, Dearne FM, our website and the Barnsley Council Website. Please make sure that children are wearing suitable outdoor coats as the weather has become much colder. Please ensure that children do not play on playground equipment before or after school and children do not run on the field / grassed areas. This is to ensure the safety of our children. Thursday 14 th February –Last day of term. Friday 15 th February – INSET DAY Monday 25 th February - School reopens after the holiday. Our Target: 96% Whole school attendance to date: 95.3% Regular attendance at school is vital to your child’s success. Please support our school with improving children’s attendance. Message from the Principal

It has been a busy week this week; so proud of all the choir children who attended Young Voices 2019! Weeks of dedication and hard work definitely paid off. In the event of any severe weather conditions that
