    1.0 INTRODUCTIONThe purpose of this calculation is to determine the ratings of the AC Uninterruptible Power supply(UPS) and Batteries required to successfully supply the vital load of the plant during normaloperation and a short power interruption for the Wellhead Platform (H01-WHP) of the Te Giac TrangField, located offshore Vietnam about 100 km southeast of Vung Tau.The following terms as used in this specification assume the meanings given below:Company:Contractor:Purchaser:

    b) Load nature is assumed to be an ohmic load.c) Ambient Temperature & Altitude correction factors are not considered in this calculation.d) The calculation result is a guide to the minimum requirements only.e) The UPS system(s) shall incorporate either fully dual redundant units or parallel redundantunits depending on UPS application. (Refer to DC Battery and UPS system back-up table)The battery system for the UPS shall be sized to support the required loads for a minimumduration provided in the attachment and shall consist of 100 % rated batteries (one on eachof the redundant UPS units) for 50c> of the time.f) Calculations include complete load list, load profiles (current vs. time).
