Early Action vs Early Decision
Early Decision:• Is a contractual agreement.– Accepted students must attend unless Financial
Aid is prohibitive– Accepted students must withdraw other
applications.Early Action: Students apply by November and are given an admissions decision in December.
Protocol for Admissions Counselor Visits• 40 Colleges/Universities will be visiting Shrine
over the next 8 weeks. • To attend the session, students must sign up in
the book on Mrs. Luddy’s desk a day in advance.• Teacher has the final say in whether student is
permitted to attend• If it is impossible to miss a class, Mrs. Piazzon
will gather pertinent materials including the counselor’s card
Admissions Counselor visits
• Visits allow our students one on one time with the primary reader of their application.
• Students should always follow up the visit with a hand written thank you note.
• “Finalized list” will be posted on Shrineschools.com site

Summary
