It was a great night and very well supported by our parents and community members. A large number of sponsors and generous parents donated prizes and the money raised will go towards our school. Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed. It was a fantastic evening. School photographs will be taken this week. Please ensure your child is dressed in full school uniform and that you have returned your payment envelope or alternatively paid using the online system. We have had a slow response to the ‘Tell Them From Me Parent Survey’. This survey helps to clarify and strengthen the important relationship between home and school. We value your feedback so it would be great if you would take the time to complete the survey simply by following this link https://nsw.tellthemfromme.com/j23fk. The link can also be found on the school website. Well done to our athletes who represented Ryde Zone yesterday at the Sydney North Carnival. A big congratulations to Sam T (4T) who won the junior boys Long Jump with a jump of 4.41 metres. Sam will now compete at the State Carnival. What a remarkable achievement. If you have been on our website recently you would have seen that Parent Online Payments (POP) is now up and running. We thank you for your patience. Our Gold Card assembly is a celebration of student achievements and it is important that parents are aware of the correct procedures regarding this event. There has been some confusion recently regarding what awards need to be placed in the Gold Card box in order to receive a Gold Card at the assembly. I have outlined below the different levels of the system: - Students may receive Flower Cards, Merit Certificates and KLA Awards from their teacher throughout the year. - Flower Cards and KLA awards need to be kept and handed back to the teacher once 3 have been collected ( can be a combination of both) - These 3 awards will be stapled to a Merit Certificate and presented at a Friday assembly. Additional Merit Certificates are also awarded by teachers each week for positive achievements. - Once a child has achieved 3 Merit Certificates, they can place these in the Gold Card Box at the front office to receive a Gold Card. - 3 Flower cards should not be placed in the gold Card box unless they have been stapled and awarded with a Merit certificate by the classroom teacher. - A banner is awarded when 3 Gold Cards have been collected. - 3 banners results in a morning tea with the Principal. - Parents will receive a letter home notifying them if their child is receiving an award at the Gold Card Assembly up to a week prior to the assembly. If you have any further queries please speak to your class teacher.
