‘Rumours caught up with Amy the lead vocalist of ‘JAMM’ to talk about her stardom,inspirations and aspirations...

So, Amy. Hows the famous life treating you?(laughs)Very well thankyou! such a difference from the usual life i’ve been leading- to be honest im still in shock as to where i am in life right now,it still hasnt sunk in”So im guessing all that hard work was worth it?Definately! Hard work does pay off, no use sitting back moaning about how rubbish your life is. Get out there and do something about it!

Wow, so you had very high aspirations in life?Yeah, i didnt feel like i was destined for an average 9 to 5 life, i wanted to be out there i wanted to be noticed! I wanted to live and not just exist,So no going back for you,then?Ofcourse not! Ive worked so hard to be where i am today, as long as i can help it im not going anywhere,im staying where i am.I love this fighting talk! Talking of fights,how do you get on with fellow popstars, any tension between you?No not at all its all sweet! I met Pixie Lott the other day actually shes lovely! She was telling me how good my per-fomance was. You’d think there would be constant tension with us-but theres not- they all make me feel welcome in the industryThats good to hear, how are your family coping with a popstar in the family?Theyre excellent they are so supportive of me and happy for me - even my brothers proud of me(laughs) I never thought id see the day! Whenever my mom goes out she has to mention thje fact her daughter is in the charts! But im more proud of my mom than she is of me! i love her to pieces.

Aw yes, we all have love for our moms! Speaking of family- any men on the cards?Oh no not at the moment. I have no time for that sort of thing.The pressure of the album has taken over my whole life at the moment!(laughs)I’ll focus on that when the time is right but at the moment i dont see it as a priority.

So which artists have inspired you?First off, id like to mention someone who everyone in the music industry has been influenced and inspired by -and that is the legend Michael Jackson. If any artist has said he has done nothing for them they are clearly lying. My second influence is Lady GaGa-shes amazing! I love how she goes with her own style and doesnt really care if people like it or not-but they do! I love the attitude she has to her work and her songs are absoloutly brilliant - her voice is amazing.Brilliant people to follow - almost guarenteed success! Did you find it hard getting to where you are now?Yes,very. It starts off as a basement thing - then it moves to pubs and club then you have to get yourself recognised and find yourself a decent manager - it took me years to get here. Anyone whos made it from normal to fame on their own from scratch i rate them highly! It takes hard graft and determination.Very true words, before you go, any words for aspiring artists?All i can say is stick with it and listen to yourself and listen to your heart. If you have the dtermination to be where you want to be-then do it! Ive had people try to out me down and tell me im not getting anywhere -but i have! Doesnt matter what anybody says-you do you. When you get to where you want to be, its all worth it in the end.

AmyLife With ‘JAMM’.

Before she hit the charts on her own, Amy was part of a successful band ‘JAMM’ who got her the recognition she needed -when the band split and her bandmates decided to go their seperate ways she decided an average life wasnt what she was aiming for in life and wanted to stay in the limelight. Amy decided to launch her own solo pop career which took the british nation by storm when she hit number one with her debut single ‘Divas’. Since her solo career took flight she has perfomed with the likes of JLS,Pixie Lott and Tinie Tempah. She says she was ‘overly exstatic’ to meet the JLS boys - especially Mr.Merrygold. Amy says she would like to re-unite with her fellow members of ‘JAMM’ again in the future for a tour, she says she would love it if they would do that for her and the fans.
