LION ELECTIVE ADVENTURE

BY THE END OF THIS ADVENTURE…

You’ll be able to:• Play a game with rules; indicate an understanding of the rules and why it is

important to follow the rules while playing the game.• Choose a jungle animal that you would like to be; describe the animal and why

you chose it. Participate in a parade with the other animals in your den. Communicate with other animals using your animal's sounds, both as loudly as you can and as softly as you can.

THE NUMBER GAME!

How far can you go?

NUMBER GAME

• For this game, you will work as a team to try and get as high a number as possible. Mess up, and you have to start over!• How does it work? • We all start at 0. Then, without giving each other cues, we must shout 1, 2, 3 in sequence without more than one person saying the same

number at the same time. • For example;• Timmy: 1!• Rosa: 2!

• Demetrius: 3!• Timmy & Demetrius: 4!• Cubmaster: Aww… Let’s try again!

• The point is to try and feel when you think you should call out the next number without looking at your friends. Do you think you can do it?

FOLLOWING THE RULES

• Imagine if when playing that game, no one followed the rules. What does that do to the game? Games aren’t much fun if everyone isn’t following the rules.

• If you were playing football or soccer and no one ever followed the rules, how do you think that game would go? Draw a picture for what you think this game would be like.

Pick one of the animals we talked about before that you would like to be! Why did you pick this animal to be? What does this animal look like and what does it do?

PARTICIPATE IN AN ANIMAL PARADE

Using whatever materials you have (felt, paper plate, paper, etc) create a mask of your Jungle Animal!Use this mask in an animal parade! If you’re doing virtual meetings, just parade around your home virtually with your friends online.

While parading, make the sound of your animal. Make loud sounds and quiet sounds and most of all, have FUN!!!
