10/28/14 5:44 PM Elements: Texture, Color This picture follows the rule of thirds because the main subject of the picture intersects with the horizontal line from left to right. This makes the picture look good because it follows the rule of thirds and it enhances the photo by focusing on the lock. The elements of the picture are texture and color. Color because there are darker colors on the locker door, and as the picture fades, it becomes lighter. Texture because the lock and the door are the main focus and bring out eachother. This picture also has the elements of shape and line. The lines are found along the sides of the locker, and the lockers themselves are rectangular, appealing to the shape. Aside from this, the response is accurate. The rule of thirds is followed, and the color and texture elements can be found throughout. Elements: Texture and Shape This picture does not follow the rule of thirds because the main subject of this picture falls below the horizontal line or the money spot. The bush falls below the money shot which is more up to the right of the photo. The texture bring out the bush because it is the only other bush besides the ones in the back to be really sticking out. Shape because the bush isn’t a perfect looking one but because it is a little out of shape, that brings out the photo.

Color because there are darker colors on the locker door, and as the picture fades, it becomes lighter. Texture because the lock and the door are the main focus and bring out eachother.

• This picture also has the elements of shape and line.

This picture does not follow the rule of thirds completely because the bush does not fall on a money spot or line. The bush does have texture though, and the bush’s shape does stand out. The bush is also bright in color, appealing to the color element and there is space on the left side of the bush.
