Disney’s International Food and Wine Festival is an enormously popular annual event held at Epcot. The festival showcases food and drink from around the world, and gives guests the opportunity to taste the special dishes on offer.
The Disney folks wanted a fun and creative way for visitors to participate in the many unique country offerings during this special month long celebration.
A passport style book was created along with 30 unique stamps for each of the international food showcases. The sample shown to the left is an example of a pre-inked stamp, which provides dependable clean crisp imprints.
Solution:
The success of the program could easily be measured by the amount of attention in social media and blogs. Participants had a blast getting their book stamped. It inspired them to participate in every offer and the program became a viral hit online – with folks sharing their stamped passport books on Disney’s Food & Wine facebook page. Some commented on how adventurous they felt the more they explored the diferent regional cusines while others made it a competition to complete the book. In either case it got more people involved in the event.
