ENTER AND MOVE PRODUCTS ACROSS EU MARKET
R+T Asia 2019 - IWDS InnovAction Award - Doors & GatesShanghai - February 27-28, 2019
The European Union has regulated the market to allow free trade in goodsamong the 27 member countries.
The regulation consists of European “laws" (Directives) that have value in allcountries and that go beyond national laws.
The covered economic sectors of our main interest are:
• The Construction Products (Mechanical, Energy, Safety, Durability, ...)o Construction Products Regulation 305/2011 (CPR)
• The Machines (driven by non-human energy, safety aspects, …)o Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (MD)
• The Electrical Components (low-voltage systems, electromagneticcompatibility, radiofrequency, ….)o Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (LVD)o Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU (EMC)
ENTER AND MOVE PRODUCTS ACROSS EU MARKET
R+T Asia 2019 - IWDS InnovAction Award - Doors & GatesShanghai - February 27-28, 2019
Products “to be placed” on the EU market must satisfy:
• The Basic Requirements related to the safety and protection of end users(data in terms of performance to be declared by the manufacturer)
• The characteristics, referred to a specific product (for example a door), aredescribed in European Technical Standards (EN Standards), that specify thebasic requirements and combine them with the verification methods (tests, frequencies, etc.).
These EN Standards are listed in the Official Journal of European Union withthe specific number, date of issue, title and date of entry into force.
