Summary

In May, 1997 a lithogeochemical sample program was undertaken by Pearson, Hofrnan & Associates Ltd. (PHA) on behalf of 1074101 Ontario Inc. The program was carried out on the Venetian Lake Property, in Botha Twp, 40 miles north of the town of Sudbury, Sudbury Mining Division, Ontario.

The program was undertaken to establish a more detailed geochemical analysis of the volcanogenic massive sulphide showings on the Venetian Lake project. In particular to aid in the identification of the various rock types and alteration packages and if possible to provide further chemical evidence to the continuity between the Holmstrom showing and the newer Stromholm showing 2 km along strike.

To this end, 49 rock samples were collected over the two showing (30 samples from the Holstrom showing and 19 samples from the Stromholm) with emphasis on a representative sampling of all the known lithologies and where possible variations in the intensity of alteration.

The samples were then shipped to Chemex Labs Ltd. of Mississauga, Ontario where the samples of non to low sulphide content were put through a whole rock package - by ICP - meta-borate fusion followed by dissolution which will include: A12O3, CaO, Cr2O3, Fe2O3, MgO, MnO, P2O5, K2O, SiO2, Na2O, TiO2 and Lol to Q.01%. The higher to massive sulphide rockswere analyzed by a ICP 32 - nitric aqua leach package with an ICP finish + gold - 30g F A/AA finish to 5 ppb detection limit.

The resulting assessment credits will then be applied and distributed among the non-patented mining claims.

Introduction

In 1997 Bharti Laamanen Mining Inc of Sudbury, Ontario enlisted Pearson, Hofrnan & Associates

Ltd. of Toronto, Ontario and initiated work on the Venetian Lake Project to further evaluate the

mineral potential of the volcanogenic massive sulphide showings. The Venetian Lake property

consists of three patented and eight unpatented claims. Sporadic exploration has been carried out on

the property since itsdiscovery some time in 1937/38. The chief exploration targets and focus has

been to explore for volcanogenic massive sulphides (VMS), particularly copper-lead-zinc mineral

deposits on the property.

Location and Access

The Bharti Laamanen Mining Inc. (BLMT), Venetian Lake Property is situated within the central area

of Botha Township, (G-4014), Sudbury Mining Division, Ontario, and is approximately 40 miles

north of Sudbury, Ontario, at approximately 80 0 ,16'W, and 46 0 ,56'N. The mining property overlies

an area within the eastern part of the Richardson Lake Greenstone Belt in close proximity to Venetian

Lake.

The general property area may be readily accessed by means of a series of older logging roads which

lead off of the primary Dunbar network of roads established by E.B. Eddy Forest Products. Access

may also be offered by means of the Moose Mountain - Gervais road system entering in from the east.

The property area can also be easily reached by float plane from Ramsey or Whitewater Lakes,

landing directly onto Venetian Lake. Care should be exercised when flying into Venetian Lake due

to many shallow, hidden rocky shoals.

Land Status and Property Ownership

The following is a list of the unpatented and optioned patented mining claims which make up the

The above three patented mining claims have been optioned from Stig Stromshlom of Sudbury,

Ontario, through an ongoing agreement dated March 8, 1993. The three claims cover an area of

approximately 1230 acres and forms a contiguous group with the crown land claims. In accordance

with the option agreement, Bharti Laamanen Mining Inc. has the right to purchase a \ Q007a interest

in the Stig Stromshlom patents by putting up a set amount of cash within the 5 year option term.

In total, the Venetian Lake property consists of approximately 2,230 acres in which the company

controls and is the current operator of the project.

Documented work on the Venetian Lake property includes:

1. Prior to 1938, prospecting and hand trenching by the discoverer, Thure Holmstrom and

associates.

2. 1938, optioned claims to Canamanscano Mining Syndicate Ltd., performed early versions of

electromagnetic and magnetic geophysical surveys, recommendations made, not carried out,

property returned to vendor.

3. 1949 first documented visit to the property by I.E. Thomson, provincial geologist. High metal

values obtained during surface sampling.

4. 1951 property optioned Osisko Lake Mining Ltd., 3,175 feet of diamond drilling in 7 holes.

Significant sulphide intersections reported and sampled. Drill logs are available and a large

number of samples were cut from the holes. Unfortunately, the results for the base metal

assaying have been excluded from the drill logs. It is the understanding that the company was

highly interested in the property. Plans called for a second drill program, but were said to

have been halted due to the quick dropping of the base metal prices at the time. The property

was returned to the vendor. Efforts have been made in an attempt to locate the old data

through the government files, GSC, etc., without results.

5. 1961, the three original discovery claims were patented, and willed to Stig Stromsholm,

following the death of Thure Holmstrom in 1977. No recorded work was carried out on the

claims since 1951.

Regional Geology

The general project area occurs within the eastern extent of the Richardson Lake Greenstone Belt.

Page 8: RPT ON THE 1997 LITHOGEOCHEMICAL SAMPLE PROGRAM VENETIAN LAKE … · 2017-01-17 · Summary In May, 1997 a lithogeochemical sample program was undertaken by Pearson, Hofrnan & Associates

The rocks found within the belt are predominately made up of various felsic metavolcanics with

metasedimentary sequences overlain with mafic to intermediate metavolcanics and higher grade

granulite facies gneissic rocks.

The metavolcanic Ethologies have been deformed due to the intrusions of granitic to gabbroic bodies

including structural deformation due to faulting and folding. The noted contact areas between the

felsic and mafic metavolcanics are known to host base metal showings and is considered to be a

highly favourable environment for hosting volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposits.

Property Geology

The geology of the Venetian Lake property was somewhat more complex than originally envisioned.

The general Noranda type VMS mineralized felsic/mafic contact environment regime remains the

same, although the geology has been complicated due to abundant structures, metamorphism,

hydrothermal alteration.

For the most part the basic geology of the property is made up of a complex assemblage of mafic

metavolcanic rocks in contact with complex felsic metavolcanics. It is at or near these important

geological contacts that various concentrations of base metal and iron sulphide mineralization has

been found on the Venetian Lake property. The field work has shown that the main mineralized

horizon appears to be from 100 to 130 metres thick and has an estimated strike length of

approximately 2 kilometres. Within this favourable horizon higher concentrations of stratiform

sulphide lenses and sulphide stringer zones range in thickness from 3 to 25 metres across.

The sulphide mineralization is primarily made up of varying amounts of pyrrhotite-pyrite, with lesser

amounts of sphalerite, galena, and chalcopyrite. Some marcasite and molybdenum have been noted

within some of the sulphides. At this time it would appear as if the sulphide mineralization is located

within a fine to course grained felsic to lapilli tuff with intercalated units of cherty exhalative and

carbonaceous metasedimentary horizons.

Overlying the mineralized felsic rock is the mafic metavolcanic sequences of basalts-andesites, with

synvolcanic metagabbro, metapyroxinite sills and dykes. Some disseminations, minor lenses and

stringers of sulphides occur in the mafic rocks above the main mineralized horizon. Much of the

metavolcanic rocks on the property have been intruded by several types of igneous intrusives ranging

in composition from felsic to mafic. A series of dykes, sills and irregular shaped stocks have all

played a roll in complicating the hole geological arrangement on the property.

Major Elements

The volcanic rocks that underly the Venetian Lake property, include rocks with major element

composition gradational from rhyolite to basalt (Appendix I, Figure l to 3). They are all the volcanic

formations and include chemically similar representative samples of the surrounding Benny

Greenstone Belt. The rocks have average alkali contents except for slight alkali-depleted rhyolite

rocks. The silica content ranges from average to enriched, particularly in the basalts and andesites.

The Irvine & Baragar (Figure I.), Jensen (Figure 2.), and Le Maitre (Figure 3.) Plots show a gradual

compositional trend for basalt to rhyolite. Irvine 8t Baragar (Figure 1.) and Jensen (Figure 2.) Plots

indicate in general that the rocks have a calc-alkaline affinity.

The variation diagrams of the major elements indicate that the basalts and andesites, in general are

enriched in silica and slightly deficient in alumina and magnesia. Most are more potassic, or soda-

poor, than those of the Superior Province. The rocks of dacite and rhyolite composition are variably

enriched in alumina.

Trace Elements

The rocks have trace element contents that support the gradational composition seen in the major

element chemistry (Figure 4 and 7). There are minor and major variations in all the elements

(Appendix I and H) with only a few trends related to lithology. As indicated in Figures 5 and 6,

alteration of the volcanic rocks sampled is not strong nor pervasive. Elements Like A12O3 vs Zr are

not strongly being enfluenced by the alteration and are adhering to the fractionation trend line.

All the rocks are enriched in Pb and Zn (Appendix H). The rocks are also variably anomalous in Ag,

B a, Cd, and Mn. The Zr content of the basalts and andesites is close to average. Vanadium and

gallium are deficient in all of the rocks.

Lead ranges from 18 to > 10000 ppm with several samples running in the hundreds to thousands of

ppm. Zinc ranges from 48 to 8710 ppm with several samples running in the hundreds to thousands

of ppm. Copper is variable and very weakly anomalous ranging from 8 to 773 ppm.

Conclusions
