As you are aware, Rozelle Public School sends a summary of student progress through written reports twice a year and provides ongoing detail through parent-teacher interviews or meetings. This year in line with advice from the NSW Department of Education, the Semester One report has had to be adjusted in recognition of the impact of learning from home. This report will describe your child's progress and achievement in the learning cov-ered during Term 1 and Term 2 in English and Mathematics and will identify the next steps to support your child's learning growth next semester. Reflecting the many adjustments that were required from students, par-ents and school during the learning from home period the Semester One report will not grade student achieve-ment using the usual A—E scale. Student reports will provide information about learning habits, attendance and a general comment that reflects on your child's commitment to learning. Pre School Portfolios will be sent out in Week 1 by Friday 24 July and K– 6 reports will be sent out at the end of Week 2 in Term 3, Friday 31st July. Se-mester Two reports will be delivered using the usual grading format and describe progress and achievement in all Key Learning Areas.

PRESCHOOL ENROLMENTS for 2021

Applications for enrolment into the preschool program have now opened. All the necessary information and application forms are available on the school website at https://rozelle-p.schools.nsw.gov.au/ or from the school office. Children are eligible for enrolment in preschool classes from the beginning of the school year if they turn four years of age before July 31 of that year. Applications close at 3:00pm on Friday 26 June. There is no priority for the order in which enrolments are received by the office. The Preschool Placement panel, consisting of the Principal, the President of the P & C and one of our preschool teachers, considers all applications in accordance with the priorities of the Department of Education and Communities' Preschool Enrolment Policy and the Rozelle Public School Preschool Enrolment and Fee Policy.

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

Our arrival and dismissal procedures have been very successful thus far. Thank you to all our families that have been adhering to the social distancing guidelines, dropping off and picking up their children and leaving the school playground as quickly as possible. We have advice from the Department that social distancing arrangements in schools should continue into Term 3. We will continue to keep our school community updated as advice is commu-nicated to us. While we are trying really hard to make these arrangements as easy as possible for families to enter and exit the school grounds we also want to ensure the safety of our students and families. Parents and carers who are parking in the Merton Street Car Park need to walk around to the front of Darling Street and avoid using the the path behind Tilly’s as this is unsafe. Cars are moving in and out of the private car park area and it is being used as a short cut to Darling Street but this is extremely unsafe practice. Please try to avoid that area.

ANNUAL SCHOOL REPORT
