We will be seeing an era of video used more than text and professional quality live video over selfies. Conversational User Interfaces – How many of us have an Alexa, Google Assistant, or Microsoft’s Cortana. The trend of talking to the internet will continue its rapid growth. Over 20% of all searches are now voice searches. “Alexa, what’s the weather for today?” L. G. Technology allows us to see who visits our site, what pages they look at, what they searched for, and how long they spent on the site. We can also track social media posts and mentions to see what the world is saying about our work. Also, web sites will soon require a liability disclaimer and must limit any “auto-play” features. (We’ve implemented these already.) Without these in place, search engines will limit visibility and people will have a harder time finding what we do and why we do it. Trends For 2018Recently a couple of us in the Sioux Falls office had a hallway conversation about the technology changes we’ve seen in our life – carbon paper copiers, AOL, dialup networks, introduction of the fax machine, rise and fall of BlackBerry phones, LGE Plant Managers now have smartphones, and our grandkids seamlessly operating their iPads.

Today, I’m reading the list of the top 15 Marketing Trends for 2018 in Forbes Business Online. Thought I’d share a couple of the interesting trends.

Augmented Reality and Personalize Landing Pages – Big words for basically saying the internet you see is different than the internet others see. Location services, search history and other trackers combine to create your own personalized internet experience.

Targeted Ads with Specific Purpose – You may have already seen this. You search to find out more information on the latest new lawn mowers and all your social media, Google ads, and Amazon now show lawn mowers on sale.

Professional Live Video – We’re now seeing live video everywhere. Even the President of the U.S. does live video feeds on Social Media.

“Alexa, what’s the weather for today?”

Professional Live Video – We’re seen live video everywhere. Even the President of the U.S. does live video feeds on Social Media. We will be seeing an era of video used more than text and professional quality live video over selfies.

Vea el video Our Story, la nueva página Our Team Leaders y el enlace a New Company Store.
