PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

II would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to the Installation Chairman PE

Jeffrey Yap and his committee members for a job well done on Saturday, 16 July 2016 during our 50th Installation Dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel. The evening ended with much joy and laughter, a testimony to the great organization effort behind it all. I am proud of all my Board members for their commitment and hard work. Please accept my sincere gratitude. I must thank our Sister Clubs for their time and effort to come all the way from Manila, Songhkla and Bangkok to attend our Installation. It was a great pleasure to host them and no doubt it has further strengthen our strong friendship. I am grateful for their continued support and warm relations. I have attended many different installations before but I was never more nervous than attending my own installation as the 50th President of this Club. I now look forward to implementing the planned projects for my year. For a start it is our hope that our Sister Clubs from Dhonburi and Singapore West will agree to our hosting the Tri-Club Project as part of our Golden Anniversary celebration in December this year. Membership development is very important and I hope my Membership Chair will take the lead to recruit new members. Let’s hope we can continue to bring in younger members as they can contribute much with their youthful enthusiasm and ideas. There is much to be done as I begin my year.

Acting SAA called the meeting to orde at 1.15 pm on behalf of President Sandy Soh. He welcome all guests and Rotarians. He then led in the singing of the National Anthem and the Loyal Toast.
