QUESTION: Do you think we should establish Multi-District Information Organization (MDIO) in Asia Pacific?

ANSWERS:

• Stands for Multi-District Information Organization• Functions as regional offices of information &resources• Comprises of Rotaract Clubs in 2 or more districts• Formed for the purpose of facilitatingcommunication & disseminating information

Over the last 10 years, Rotaract MDIOs have been a driving force

in enhancing communication & promoting Rotaract awareness &

growth in many regions of the world.


WHAT IS MDIO?

• Contact the district Rotaract representatives(DRRs) of the districts involved• DRRs to get approval from at least two-thirds ofthe clubs in their districts• Develop guidelines, such as a constitution andby-laws, to govern the functioning of the MDIO• Once the guidelines are finalized, district governors(DGs) must give their formal Approval• Send the MDIO guidelines and all documentsapproving the MDIO to RI World Headquarters• The RI Board will consider the proposal and notifythe DRRs and DGs when a decision has been made• Once approved, the MDIO will be listed in theWorldwide Rotaract Directory and website
