Rosary CrusadeHow to Use This Booklet

Te 12-Million Rosary Crusade lasts rom April 24, 2011 untilMay 27, 2012. We are praying or the Church and the Consecrationo Russia.

1. Keep this booklet in a convenient place!

2. Fill in the number o Rosaries in the calendar pages. AFamily Rosary should be multiplied by the number o peoplereciting it; so i 7 people say the Rosary together, you willcount 7 Rosaries. Remember only to count whole 5-decadeRosaries and not the number o individual decades.

4. Add up all the Rosaries or each month and write itdown in the Rosary Count circle.

3. Tear out the Calendar Page or the month which youneed to turn in.

4. Turn in your Calendar Page on the FIRS SUNDAYOF HE MONH, to your chapels Coordinator (please do

NO send it to the District Oce!) Te Coordinator will addup all o your chapels totals and send it in.

Extracts from theSUPERIOR GENERALS LETTER, #78

regarding the new Rosary Crusade

Dear Friends and Beneactors,

What is to be done? For our part what can we do, my dear riends?Prayer and penance was the watchword given by our dear HeavenlyMother, the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, both in Lourdes and in Fatima; thesecelestial instructions are still valid and even more so today than when they

were pronounced. Many o you are wondering about the eect o our Rosary

Crusade that ended last year. We orwarded the results o it along with ourrequest to the Supreme Ponti, who has not deigned to reply, not even witha letter acknowledging receipt. But that must not discourage us. Our prayer

was sent up to Heaven, to Our Lady, such a kind and merciul Mother, andto the God o Mercies; thereore we do not have the right to doubt that ourprayers will be answered, according to the inallible arrangements o DivineProvidence. Let us trust in the good Lord. Nevertheless, the situation o theChurch and o the world prompts us to ask you insistently not to stop this

movement o prayer or the good o the Church and o the world, or thetriumph o the Immaculate Heart o Mary. Te intensity o the crisis, themultiplication o all sorts o misortunes that strike or threaten humanity,demands on our part a corresponding attitude: We ought always to prayand not to aint. Oportet semper orare et numquam defcere (Luke 18:1).

Tereore it seems to us urgent and more than opportune, given theredoubled intensity o the evils that are swamping the Holy Church, tolaunch once more a Rosary Crusade, a campaign o prayer and penance.Starting on Easter o this year until Pentecost o 2012, we invite you to joinall your eorts, all your strength, so as to make a new spiritual bouquet, anew garland o these roses that are so pleasing to Our Lady, to beg her tointercede on behal o her children with her divine Son and the AlmightyFather. Conusion is only increasing among souls; they are being handedover to the ravaging wolves even in the sheepold. Te trial is so dicultthat even the elect would be lost i it were not shortened. Te ew reassuring

developments o the past ew years are not enough to allow us to say thatthings have really changed undamentally. Tey give us great hopes orthe uture, but like the light that one perceives while still in the depths othe tunnel. And so with all our hearts let us ask our Heavenly Mother tointervene so that this terrible trial may be cut short, that the Modernistcape mufing the Churchat least since Vatican IImay be torn in two,and that the Authorities may perorm their salvic duties or souls, that the

Church may regain her spiritual splendor and beauty, that souls throughoutthe world may hear the Good News that converts, receive the Sacramentsthat save, and nd the one sheepold. Ah! How we would love to be ableto use less dramatic language, but it would be a lie and culpable negligenceon our part to soothe you by letting you hope that things will improve bythemselves.

We are counting on your generosity to collect once more a bouquet oat least twelve million rosaries or the intention that the Church may bedelivered rom the evils that oppress her or threaten her in the near uture,that Russia may be consecrated and that the riumph o the Immaculatamay come soon.

So that our prayers may be even more ecacious and each one may

derive a greater benet rom them, we wish to conclude by recalling thatwhen one recites the Rosary, the most important thing is not the numbero Hail Marys, but rather the way in which one prays them. Te risk omonotony or distraction can be ought eectively by praying the Rosaryaccording to the instructions o Mary hersel: while counting o theRosary beads, it is a matter o meditating on the scenes rom the lie o OurLord and o His Holy Mother and the mysteries that they present. Temost important thing is this contact with the lie o our Savior, which is

established when one thinks lovingly about the events announced with eachdecade, the mysteries o the Rosary. Te decades o Hail Marys becomelike background music accompanying and sustaining this powerul, gentlecontact with God, with Our Lord and Our Lady. Sister Lucy o Fatimacould say, ollowing the popes, that God has willed to coner a very specialpower on this prayer, so that there is no problem that cannot be resolved bythis magnicent devotion. We venture to insist on prayer within the amily,

which daily gives proo o its ecacy in protecting children and youngpeople rom the temptations and appalling dangers o the modern world,

which protects amily unity in the midst o so many perils that threaten it.Let us not allow ourselves to become discouraged by the apparent silence oDivine Providence ater our last crusade. Is it not so that God love it when

we prove to Him, in important matters, that we know how to appreciate thetrue value o what we ask or and that we are ready to pay the price?

As we are about to enter into the Passion o Our Lord, Holy Week and

the glorious Resurrection o our Savior, we ask Our Lady to deign to blessyour generosity, to take you under her kindly protection and to answer yourpersevering prayers.

Rosary Crusade Sacrifices

Part o our Crusade is not only to pray 12 million Rosaries, but to

oer 12 million sacrices as well!

You may make any type o sacrice, provided it is in conormity withprudence, moderation and with the wishes and advice o your priest.I there be any doubt, the best thing is simply to ask him or advice.

We here give you some examples o various sacrices. Remember, themore these sacrices help us to ulll our Catholic duties according

to our state o lie, the better they are or our sanctication and themore they please Almighty God.
