YARD; Julio, the prisoner, alone in the courtyard, WORKING OUT!
Romeo, the guard, notices him - and is instantly sur-rounded by 3 large, card-board hearts.

2 x Dumb-bells.
6 x Cardboard hearts.

The KissWhat
YARD; Julio catches sight of Romeo, and the two walk to-wards each other cautiously.
Become surrounded by loads of cardboard hearts, implying a kiss.
Romeo instantly proposes.
Audio
Music: Something cheesy and lovey that builds-up. Similar to what’s in ‘Atonement’ maybe??
SFX: Kissing noises.
Props
1 x wedding-ring.

The FiiiiiightWhat
SHOWER: One of the prison-ers drops his soap. Another picks it up.
Fight breaks out.
Tybalt (prisoner) kills Mer-cutio (guard).
Romeo sees this, kills Tybalt.
Audio
SFX: Shower-noises, Chaotic fight scene.
Props
Weapons: Couple of daggers/knives. 3 guns.
I’m sure we’ve all got some-thing we can bring in on Tuesday to improvise with?

The AftermathWhat
SHOWER: The inmates part, to reveal Tybalt and Mercutio dead.

Music: Something sad. Slow.

2 x ghosts. Piece of white cloth, black holes in for eyes?

The TransferWhat
YARD: Romeo is considered as responsible for the death of Mercutio - and is trans-fered to another block within the prison by the Cheif, Prince Escalus.
Romeo tells Julio of the situa-tion.

Music: Sad.

The OverdoseWhat
YARD: After Romeo leaves, Julio is inconsolable. He gives a note to another inmate to pass on to Romeo, to explain that he’s going to get himself admitted to hospital - where Romeo should visit.

1 x massive pill.
5/6 x smaller pills.
1 x explosive-sign, “BANG!”

The DeathWhat
HOSPITAL: Julio appears still on a hospital bed, where an ECG-monitor is flat-lining.
Romeo is devastated, so takes his gun and shoots himself. Julio awakes, sees Romeo is dead - shoots himself in ex-actly the same manner as Romeo, and falls on top of his body.
The ghosts appear once more, this time holding hands.
Audio
Music: Sad, ‘I Will Survive’.
SFX: Gun-shot, heart-rate monitor, hospital noises.
