This is the final step of salvation and it was in that anticipation that we were saved. The redemption of the body obviously has not yet occurred (Who hopes for what he already has?), but it is hoped for and eagerly anticipated with steadfast endurance in present sufferings.

Though we desiredesire the deliverance from this this bodybody of death and corruption,

We can patiently waitpatiently wait for it, because we have such absolute confidenceconfidence in its coming.

We have talked much about our weaknessesour weaknesses that are a resultresult of living in this flesh.

We are prone to stumblestumble in our walk with God, to wanderwander from His side,

to fail to prayfail to pray and studystudy His Word.

But thank God for the helphelp and strengthstrength of His

Holy Spirit in us.

Sometimes we are in troublein trouble, and we have no no understandingunderstanding of how to escape the trouble.

We look up to God, but we don'tdon't even know what to pray forpray for or how to ask God to intercedeintercede.

We don't have the wordswords to talk with God.

The Holy SpiritHoly Spirit will convey our need to the Father.

27 And He that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh inter-cession for the saints accordinaccording to the Will of Will of GodGod.

God's Holy Spirit helps us, not onlynot only when we knowknow we are in trouble, but all the timeall the time.

Even when we thinkthink we know how to pray, we don't know perfectly the Will of GodWill of God.

The Holy Spirit always intercedesintercedes for us accordingaccording to God's Perfect Will.

When we pray in God's WillGod's Will,

He hearshears and answersanswers our prayers. 1 John 5:14-15

28 And we know that all things work together for for goodgood to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His Purpose.

"Good" is a closer walkcloser walk with God.

"Good" is to have God's blessingsblessings.

"Good" is to be in God's Perfect WillGod's Perfect Will.

And know thisknow this, God's Will is Perfect and Good.

"Good" is not definednot defined by the desiresdesires of the fleshflesh, but ratherrather the desires

of the spiritspirit.

"All things" are not goodnot good.PersecutionPersecution is not good.Sickness is not goodnot good.DepressionDepression is not good.Pain is not goodnot good.

But God can useuse all of these to workto work "good" in us.

By His Holy Spirit, God worksGod works in all things: all situations, all persecutions, all sickness,

To bring usbring us into a closer walk with Him, and to help ushelp us walk in the center of His Perfect Will;

28 And we know that all things work together for good to themthem that love God, to themthem who are the called according to His Purpose.

This verse does not applydoes not apply to haters of God.

It does not apply to thosethose walking in their own way.

It does not apply to unbelieversunbelievers; the unsaved.

29 For whom He did foreknowforeknow, He also did predestinatepredestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Predestination is according to God's foreknowledgeGod's foreknowledge.

All of God's children willwill be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, our older brother.

1 John 3 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like we shall be like HimHim; for we shall see Him as He is.

We are to beto be -- being sanctifiedbeing sanctified through the Word of GodWord of God day by day.

That gradual sanctification will culminatewill culminate in our being like Jesus whenwhen He comes for the church.

We will be changedbe changed in that moment to be …

"just as He is."

30 Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.

God called us by His Spirit, when He saved ussaved us.

He justifiedjustified us with the Blood of Jesus.

We will be glorifiedglorified (conformed to Jesus) when we are caught up to be forever with the Lord.

As far as God is concerned, it's already donealready done.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?

God's gonna dodo what He's gonna do.

He will finishfinish what he has started.

Nothing or nobody cancan change that.

33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

The devildevil is the accuser, and he accuses.

His children accuseaccuse God's children.

Even some Christians try to do the devil's jobdevil's job.

But GodBut God has justified us, and all the accusing is meaninglessmeaningless.

34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, Who is even at the right hand of God, Who also maketh intercession for us.

The accusersaccusers would love to condemn us.

But Jesus diedJesus died for us.

His BloodHis Blood washed away our sins.

Jesus has the ear of God, and speaks for usspeaks for us.

35 Who shall separate us from the Love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For Thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

NothingNothing can separate us from His Love.

Some people think that if Jesus really loved usJesus really loved us, we would not suffernot suffer tribulation, distress, persecution,

famine, nakedness, danger, or death.

37-39 Nay, inin all these things we are more than more than conquerorsconquerors through Him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any any other creatureother creature, shall be able to separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

More than conquerorsMore than conquerors

We not onlynot only win the battle, we keepkeep the victory; we holdhold the territory.

God loves me nownow and foreverforever.

Nothing I do or anyone else does can change thatcan change that.

God knewGod knew everything I would ever do beforebefore He saved me; indeedindeed, before I was born.

He will nevernever change His Mind.

He will finishwill finish what He started in me.
