    ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I would like to sincerely give my utmost gratitude to the following individuals who helped me

accomplished my endeavors from the time I started my OJT up to the last minute of my

    practice teaching.

To Prof. Sheryl Morales and Prof. Marilyn Isip who both served as our advisers in Teaching

Practicum. They had taught many things I would always remember in terms of teaching.

To my cooperating teachers namely Mam Rosario Aquino, Mam Cecilia Talisay, Mam Edna

Cabonegro and also Sir Christo Rey Rivera who guided me during my practice teaching at

Commonwealth High School. They served as my second parents in my teaching site who

    inspired me the most.

To the Principal Mam Sheridan G. Evangelista and the TLE Head Mam Lorelina G. Morera, a

heart full of thanks I offer. If it were not of them, we the student teachers could not take our

    practice teaching in the site.

To my students to whom I got my strength to teach no matter how hard them to motivate to study

and to foster discipline on them. The reason why I chose this profession to nurture and educate

    you my students.

To my mother who served as my first teacher and primary provider of my needs in school. Thank

you mama. I will always love you for the rest of my life.

Of course, to Almighty God, for giving us life that we may able to grow in the mysterious world

    He created.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE OF THE PORTFOLIO

The practice teaching portfolio was prepared and developed to provide and share

experiences for those who will undergo the same undertakings. The greatest value of this practice

teaching portfolio is that it serves as the mirror of the practice teacher for their progress and

achievement in their practice teaching. And also this practice teaching portfolio was prepared to

expose the pre-service teacher experiences so that they can use it in relating their theories learned

inside the classroom to become globally competitive.

Another purpose of this practice teaching portfolio is that it assess the pre-service teachers

learning for the preparation in future life in facing the real world of teaching. The pre-service

teacher must do always their best in imparting knowledge to the students. Just love your students

so in return your students will be embracing you too, with the great thing youve done to them not

only in cognitive side but in affective and psychomotor development.

    PERSONAL EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy is that people must believe in something. According to Dewey, education

is by its nature an endless circle spiral. It is an activity, which includes science, because in its

process, it raises problems to be studied which then reacts upon demanding more through, more

    science in an everlasting sequence.

This definition of education makes it imperative to a person to have a philosophy of

education and beliefs in the function of teaching.

A teacher should believe in the intended processes and activities to produce desirable

changes in the behavior of students. We must believe in the capacity to effect these changes,

promote and facilitate these changes through the mastery of the subject matter and the use of

appropriate methods and techniques of teaching.

A teacher also functions as manipulator of teaching learning situations. As a manipulator,

you must believe in your ability to create a series of operations directed to change specific

behavior. These are just parts of a teachers educational philosophy.

As a student teacher, you must believe in something that will eventually help you in

    setting the goal of your life. This will focus on the values and objectives of the new social order;

the will help the teacher in analyzing and organizing her objectives; crystallizing the thoughts

that will serve as a guide to prevent a teacher from getting lost their maze of your many-faceted

chores. The school occupies premier place in the construction of the society, particularly in the

matter of changing the attitudes towards community. The role of teacher plays will be a

crystallizer and an evaluator of the educational program under the democratic society.

PERSONAL INSIGHTS ON THE PRE-SERVICE TRAINING EXPERIENCE

Education is a life-long process of learning and to become an efficient and effective the

strategies, tactics and teaching styles that best suit him/her.

It is the time of trial and error and for growing confidence and beginning expertise. It is

not a time of perfection but of striving for competence. Through student teaching, a process

whereby a potential teachers confirms to himself/herself and others that he/she as the

resourcefulness to survive with educator, you must first understand the value of continuous

learning because this would be the teachers tool in molding individuals into better and more

    competitive one.

The first major step in moving from amateur status toward gaining competencies that

mark the real professional is the student teaching opportunities to the educational theories and

    methods into practice.

Student teaching is the first and foremost a learning situation. This is the craft before

he/she has to put his/her skills on the lime in his/her own classroom. This is the student teachers

chance to learn from his mistakes without causing harm to his/her students. This is for him/her to

find out an actual teaching situation, the prospect teacher gain more experiences that would serve

as their credential in their path.

As we all know, teaching is a noble profession. It requires a long preparation and more

training sessions for them to be equipped in facing the real environment that awaits them in near

    future.

Student teaching serves as an internship in the profession education where theories,

knowledge, attitudes and skills develop through course work and observation are fused into more

meaningful interpretation through practical experience in actual teaching situation.

    Month of December

I attended orientation initiated by Mam Morera.I observed classes from different sections: Spider

Hunter (37), Sunbird (38), and Warbler (42) under supervision of Mam Rosario Aquino and Mam Edna

Cabonegro. They are exploratory classes. I also observed classes in Electricity (specialization) under

supervision of Sir Rivera.I made a master list of my students from section my different sections.I was

given modules and instructional materials by Mam Aquino, my cooperating teacher. It was then I made

my own lesson plans. Every lesson plan I made, I let it checked by my cooperating teachers. Then they

gave feedback. It was then that I made my own instructional materials of the following topics in the third

grading period that will all be discussed in the month of December. The topics are the following: testing

tools, holding tools, boring tools, driving tools, edge-cutting tools and tooth-cutting tools, sharpening

tools, fastening tools, adhesives and finishing tools. I gave students quizzes, activities, long test,

    assignments and projects.

Under the Electricity class, I handled periodical exam and practical exam of Grade 9 students

under the supervision of Sir Rivera.I attended Christmas party in our department, The TLE Department. I

also attended Christmas party the next day. That was when we presented dance with co-student teachers

    from PUP and Earist.

    January 5 -9, 2015

I resumed teaching remaining lessons before the third periodical exam.I collected projects from

my students. The projects were mosaic of different hand tools pasted in illustration board.

    January 12 14, 2015

This week was the initiation of the third periodical exam at Commonwealth High School.I

collected notebooks from my students. I collected projects and assignments too.

    January 20 -23, 2015

This week consisted of the following activities: checking of the periodical exam, making item

analysis of the periodical exam and giving exams for those who were absent last week. I also gave

students surveys about course preference of their choice when they come to TLE Grade 9.
