Dear St. Mary, Our Lady of the Annunciation, Parishioners;

As members of the St. Mary School Advisory Council, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all parishioners for your unwavering support of our wonderful school. Our little school, with its rich history of providing a tremendous Catholic education to multiple generations, has had a couple of challenging years. Economic influences and staff changes had negatively impacted school enrollment and there was concern for the future of our school. Under the leadership of our pastor, Fr. Jim, and our principal, Mrs. Theresa Stager; along with the significant efforts of many school and parish families; our school has emerged as an exemplary Catholic elementary school in the Archdiocese of Detroit. We are confident that our school - authentically Catholic, academically excellent and technologically forward - is now in a position to grow. This would not be possible without the support of our parish family. We sincerely appreciate your prayers, your advice, your time, and effort in supporting our school. In particular, we would like to thank those anonymous parishioners who so generously donated substantial funds to our school this spring. These parishioners do not have any children attending our school, yet they felt strongly about supporting our school financially. This sizable donation has provided us the opportunity to maintain our current staff and the standards of excellence which will help us grow as we look to the future. We are so thankful for the confidence these donors have placed in us and in our school. This tremendous act of charity will certainly promote Catholic education which we believe to be essential to the future of our Catholic Church. On behalf of the staff and all of the students and families of St. Mary School, please accept our sincere thanks for your very generous donation. Please be assured that we hold all of you in our prayers.

!

Sincerely,

St. Mary School Advisory Council

Don’t Forget to Clip & Save Box Tops over the Summer! St. Mary School PTO would like to thank the students, staff, grandparents & parishioners for clipping, saving & bringing in your box tops this past school year. Together we raised just over $1,900.00, which was the most we have earned to date on this program. We would like to say thank you to Mary Malaniak for being our Box Top coordinator over the years. Your work did not go unnoticed. Additionally, we would like to welcome our new coordinator, Tonya Robinson. We appreciate the both of you, for the work you have done in the past and will continue to do for the students of St. Mary School. Over the summer please continue to clip & save your box tops, as our first collection month will take place in October. Each box top is worth $0.10 when the school redeems them, and with these funds the PTO can continue to provide many fun-filled activities for the students of St. Mary School. There is no time like the present. Start clipping & saving your box tops now and all summer long! Let’s surpass the money we earned this year. It’s easy and the rewards are endless. We wish you and your family an enjoyable & restful summer. Cindy Majlinger St. Mary PTO, Treasurer
