From all of us to all of you: Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New

Year!

Save the Date: Important Information

St. Anthony School Administration, School Commission and PTC invite you to attend a special address on January 23, 2020 at our first annual State of the School meeting (this will replace the January PTC Meeting).

The meeting will begin @ 6:30 pm in the St. Anthony Parish Hall.

This event will also kick off enrollment for the 2020-21 school year.

Parent attendance is highly encouraged and as a thank you for attending, families will be able to pick up registration packets early. Packets will include a coupon to secure last year’s registration fee of $225. After this meeting, registration fees will increase to $250.

The State of the School is part of the school’s efforts to enhance school to parent communication and will offer information on upcoming initiatives, goals and a vision for the future. Due to space constraints and the business-like nature of this meeting, we’re requesting that parents take advantage of the PTC sponsored childcare.

More information will be in subsequent newsletters.

Thank you to the students who wore their uniforms to mass again this past weekend and to parents who posted about our school on their social media accounts! Those students who wore their uniforms can wear free dress this Friday.

Though we can't offer free dress over the break, if your student wears their uniform to mass and you post it on social media, you can get additional entries into the "win a pizza party for your class" contest.

To get free dress the following Friday:

Have your student(s) wear their uniform to mass the previous weekend.

To get the free dress and get entered to win a pizza party for their classroom: Have your student(s) wear their uniform to mass the previous

weekend and then post a picture of them in their uniform on Facebook or Instagram with something along the lines of: "My student attends St. Anthony School. If you'd like to find out more, consider attending their Open House on January 26th. You can find out more information on their website, www.sasr.org." Then, email a screenshot of that post to Chris McCoy at [email protected]. Your student(s) will be entered into a drawing on January 27th for a pizza party for their classroom on Friday, January 31st. Each week and post constitutes an additional entry.

The PTC Uniform Exchange will happen in the MPR from 5 to 6 pm that evening.

To close 2019, the PTC shares this fun, festive story with all St. Anthony families:

Twas the days before Christmas at St. Anthony School, Teachers and students were trying to keep their cool. Only a few more class days and quizzes were left, Homework and projects were being completed to their best. The hallways were covered with Mrs. Smith’s art; And Principal Cantu was prepping for the holiday break to start. Sugary treats had kinder bouncing off ceilings and walls, And eight graders were roaming giggling with joy in the halls. The staff wore ugly Christmas sweaters and jingling jewels, The festive spirit in the air made it tricky enforcing the rules. Suddenly, from down the hallway there came such a chatter, The principal went to see what was the matter. PTC parents and grandparents brought more treats to refuel, All sorts of coffee and cookies and treats from the Yule. When what to their

wondering ears do they hear, But rapid tapping shoes up the stairs like tiny reindeer. Lots of little ones came and PTC parents shouted, “Thank your teachers and parents,” till they were surrounded. “Come, Vincent! Come, Tanner! Hello, Tyler and Sammy! Have a treat, Jamie! And one for Laura, Tara and Tammy!” “Parents, teachers and staff, they are so amazing, The greatest gift you can give is lots of praising!” “Kids, thank them for us and the Lord for many blessings, Little and big ones all are worth expressing.” As the final bell rang, the PTC and staff joined in unison to say, “Your parents and each of you are important to us every day,”

Blessed Christmas to all; have a joyful L-O-O-O-NG HOLIDAY!”

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! See you all in 2020!!!
