Formwork Systems


Airodek

• Airodek is a low-weight, high productivity, simple slab formwork system

• It’s suitable for slabs of up to a depth of 500mm when using props and panels

• Slabs can by up to 700mm when using Airodek with Deckbeams on Alshor Plus or Rapidshor shoring systems

• When using props and panels, Airodek’s quick, safe and simple assembly process enables one man to erect up to 40m²/hour

• Reduced components means 30% less weight and 40% fewer parts than conventional props and timber, significantly reducing construction time

Reflex

• Reflex is a cost effective system for constructing concrete, curved walls

• Traditional methods of curved wall construction are labour intensive due to the time needed to constantly assemble, disassemble and modify the system being used

• Whereas Reflex is a pre-assembled, adjustable panel that is easily and quickly adjusted for the setting of all curves efficiently and accurately. It has a concrete pressure capacity of up to 60kN/m2

• The speed at which the Reflex system can be erected, stripped and re-positioned provides significant reductions in labour costs

Minima

With 19 panel sizes available Minima can easily be assembled into most layout combinations and pour heights Because many of the panels are lighter weight (30kg/m2) than other systems, they can be set by hand, providing greater productivity The strong and robust design of Minima enables it to withstand concrete pressures up to 60kN/m² When panels are clamped together using Minima clamps up to 25m² can be lifted by crane thereby increasing the productivity of the system because the ganged form can be used multiple times Minima can be used on a wide range of applications including: walls; columns; service cores; tanks; foundations; basements; culverts; abutments and piers

Rapid Ply

• Rapid Ply panels are made from high tensile steel frames which makes the panels more rigid, more robust and up to 5kg/m² lighter than many competitor panels

• Rapid Ply can be used without requiring a crane, which dramatically reduces construction costs

• The 12mm thick plywood with a heavy-duty phenolic overlay on the face provides extra long life and a good quality finish for the concrete

• Rapid Ply has a wide range of panel sizes, allowing virtually any configuration to be erected

Ascent climbing formwork

• Ascent is a cutting edge guided climbing formwork system from RMD Australia, which speeds cycle time and reduces labour costs

• It is fully adaptable to fit all formwork, and is suitable for inclined, stepped, circular or straight surfaces, and has all the necessary safety features completely integrated

• Ascent’s hydraulically operated option, enables movement of the system without the need for a crane. This is especially useful in high wind conditions and makes the forming of tall walls and tanks quicker and easier

• Ascent mounts on the first wall lift and the mast can be simply extended as the equipment rises giving significant time, labour, and site space advantages

Rapidclimb climbing formwork

• Rapidclimb is a crane assisted climbing formwork system that provides safe, self-contained working platform levels for economical wall forming

• Rapidclimb's rack and pinion bracket movement mechanism is operated safely from the side of the formwork for easy inspection of the concrete

• Lateral adjustment of the formwork relative to the platform occurs by fine–tuning the slotted mountings that connect at the bottom of the formwork

• Rapidclimb has a wedge locking device which secures the

position of the form when it is stationery, making it safe

• Climbing Brackets (30kN) connect to the wall with recoverable anchor screws, so there are no lost parts and less cost

• Rollback is a crane assisted climbing formwork system that provides safe, self-contained working levels for economical wall forming

• A trolley mounted formwork panel, allowing retraction from

the form face, provides space for cleaning of forms and steel fixing

• Anchor accessories can be reused after each pour, reducing material costs on current and future construction programmes

• Formwork and access platforms are lifted as one, minimising crane support; reducing labour and material costs

• Fine adjustments of the form face can be made during construction, providing accurate alignment of the form face vertically and laterally


Super Slim Soldiers

• The Super Slim Soldier is the definitive formwork primary beam, with its unrivalled strength-to-weight ratio, versatility and range of accessories

• Its ten standard lengths, from 90mm to 3600mm provide almost unlimited scope for assembling beams of virtually any length

• Standard fixtures and clamps make it fully compatible with most of RMD Australia’s product range and in many cases, with the customers' own equipment

• When using a plywood form face with secondary beams, Super Slim Soldiers can be used to construct straight, curved, conical or other complex formwork configurations

Aluminium Beams

• RMD Aluminium Beams have very high resistance to bending, concentred load capacity and rigidity against deflection

• With an extensive range of accessories, the beams form a complete system that can be used for virtually unlimited configurations and applications

• RMD Australia has two types of Aluminium Beams these are:

• Albeam - This is a 225mm deep, heavy-duty primary beam for slab support, with a very high bending and concentrated load capacity

• Alform Beam - This 150mm deep beam is designed for wall formwork and slab support applications

Ultraframe

• Ultraframe is a modular, wall formwork support frame system for single-sided walls

• The inherent strength of the modular frame design allows frame assemblies to reach up to 9.6m high

• Optional heavy duty wheels allow stripping and linear down the line movement of Ultraframe, avoiding the cost of cranes

• Stepped and variable height assemblies provide effective support for most types of formwork, including Minima

• It eliminates the use of wall ties and the need for external raking props and using reusable anchor ties reduces cost of cast-in components

Alshor Plus

• Alshor Plus is a new generation aluminium shoring system. Its enhanced on-site productivity provides shorter construction times and thereby greater reductions in labour costs

• The increased leg load capacity of Alshor Plus (up to 120kN) reduces the need for additional support equipment for most loading conditions, dramatically reducing erection and strike times

• The increased extension range of the Alshor Plus jacks make it quick and easy to obtain the exact soffit height and its unique quick strike facility provides quick release of the load for easy disassembly

• Its unique blade and socket connection system, enables Ledger Frames and other Alshor Plus accessories to be located onto Alshor Plus legs much quicker than other shoring systems

Rapidshor

• Rapidshor is a cost effective, modular, steel shoring system. Developed with an extensive range of accessories

• Its robust, galvanised design and ease of assembly have made Rapidshor the premier choice in modular shoring

• Its high leg capacity of up to 74kN saves material and labour costs, with the reductions in the number of strip foundations and primary formwork beams

• It's quick and easy to erect and accommodates sloping ground and varying slab levels, with regular patterns of snap-on braces reducing both erection and safety inspection costs

Megashor

• Megashor is an ultra heavy-duty modular propping system designed for axial loads of up to 1,000 kN

• Having nine leg sizes, ranging from 15mm to 5400mm, plus a full range of accessories means that Megashor can be assembled into props, towers and trusses of almost any length

• Its high load capacity and high axial stiffness ensures that Megashor accommodates the rigours of heavy duty projects such as supporting bridges or stadium roofs, etc.

• Super Slims provide restraint for Megashor and

Slimshor

Heavy-duty vertical, horizontal and raking shoring

• The addition of standard adjustable jack units to the ends of Super Slim Soldiers with suitable end connections convert the conventional Super Slims into effective push-pull props

• These props can be used to position and stabilize both large wall forms and existing walls or precast concrete wall elements

• Adjustment of length is easily performed by the rotation of the Super Slim Soldier body

Strongshor

Strong support with fewer parts

• Strongshor comprises of four main components: frames, spigots, cross braces and head and base jacks. Fewer components result in savings in time, labour, storage, transport and inventory costs

• Strongshor will shore safely to any practical height. Its frames have a maximum safe working load of 90kN and subject to correct bracing procedure this load bearing capacity does not reduce as shoring height is increased

• Strongshor frames are designed to enable working platforms to be positioned at regular height intervals. Frame bracing provides increased strength and stability, particularly for high towers

Paraslim and Webtie

Complimentary for a complete composite bridge solution

• Paraslim is a modular formwork system for use in the construction of bridge deck cantilevers. The system allows formwork to be erected and dismantled quickly either piecemeal or in panels

• All erection, adjustment and stripping operations are carried out safely from deck level and it’s cost is much lower than the price of underslung or overslung systems

• Webtie is a 30kN capacity, soffit formwork suspension system for use between steel girders in composite bridge deck construction

• Bridge decks can be erected and dismantled at a highly economic rate without the need for the expense of an scaffold system


Props and Trench Struts

Temporary support made easy

• Props - RMD Australia’s Adjustable Steel Props provide excellent temporary support and are economical, easy and quick to erect

• They provide a solution for a wide range of temporary support requirements

• They have a Stepped Pin, which allows for the quick release of the applied load on a prop with a single blow from a hammer. The inner section of the prop is lowered by 4mm, allowing easy rotation of the collar to enable the prop to be removed without difficulty

• They are galvanised which eliminates corrosion, minimises maintenance and extends the life of the product

• Trench Strut - The standard head has square ends turned up for gripping timber trench supports and is also ideal for use with trench sheeting and piling. Angle head type is also available for added safety in deep trenches, providing simple location on timber supports

Rapidstage’s inherent simplicity is what makes it a versatile, efficient and a cost effective alternative to traditional tube and coupler scaffolds

Rapidstage is an extremely versatile modular system that can be used for all types of access scaffolding requirements

Components are lightweight and therefore erection and dismantling is accomplished easily by a small crew

RMD Australia offers a range of scaffold tube, fittings and accessories for use in traditional scaffolding applications. Different types of couplers are available, including double coupler and swivel coupler. Couplers are of a one-piece design, with nuts captive to eliminate losses
