River Market Overview - Vendor Application, Guidelines & Policies
OVERVIEW:
The goal of the River Market is to have a well-organized and well attended market in downtownBeaver Dam which will serve to promote the community, the event, and the downtown.
To achieve this goal the River Market Committee is looking for a variety of vendors-includingfarm produce, food vendors (for on-site consumption), artwork, flowers, crafts, and local
business products. Preference, when locally available, will be given to vendors closely relatedto the production of their products.
Each market date will include a theme, entertainment, and promotional support for participatingDown Town Businesses.

SET UP & PARKING GUIDELINES:
Vendors shall be set up and ready to sell their product by 7:45AM. Most spaces will have anextra room for Vendor parking along side of their booth. Additional Vendor parking (includinglarge vehicles) will be available in the area which housed the former Milwaukee House(courtesy of James Stricker) location at 200 S Center Street.
BOOTH DIMENSIONS AND COST:
Each vendor will have approximately 10 ft by 10 ft space for their boothAnnual rent for all 4 dates paid one week in advanced of the first River Market date -$75.00 -($25 savings)Or Monthly paid one week in advance - $25.00Walk-ins $35.00/dayElectricity Available at $10/day extra
Rental arrangements with food vendors, selling on site consumption food, will be separatelynegotiated and detailed below :

The Public Bathroom located behind McKinstrys Furniture will be available during the event

POLICIES:
1. No selling before 8:00 AM , no tear down before 12:00 NOON
2. All pre-registered vendors must submit a Vendor Application with payment andcopy of governmental required licenses-permits, if any, no later than one
week prior to Market day. The Market Master will promptly reviewapplication and notify applicant of results by a telephone call and a returned

approved contract with reserved spot. In the event the application not approved,payment will be returned.
3. Walk-in Vendors who arrive on Market day must complete the VendorApplication and be approved by the Market Master for that Market day.
Approval will be based on space available, evidence of governmental requiredlicenses-permits, if any, and suitability of their product.
4. Pre-registered Vendors will receive a reserved space for their booth.
5. Vendors must supply their own display table, tent, and materials-for their spaceand provide provisions for garbage removal.
6. Vendors will need to supply their own assistance in setting up operations and teardown in their space.
7. Saleable products must be on hand.
8. The market will operate rain or shine. Vendors must provide their own rain gear.If severe weather approaches, the Market Master will warn vendors andrecommend seeking shelter nearby.
9. All booth rental fees collected and approved are non-refundable.
10. All produce, crafts, art and items to be sold must be locally produced or created(UNLESS APPROVED IN ADVANCE by the MARKET MASTER).

5. Other Issues:
Liability Insurance Seller is responsible for their own personal and productliability insurance. The River Market Committee, Downtown Beaver Dam Inc. andthe City of Beaver Dam are not responsible for insurance coverage nor any claims that
may arise.
6. Product Safety Information:
Potentially hazardous foods need extra care in temperature control, as required bygovernmental regulations. The list includes: Meat, poultry, fish cooked pasta, eggs,ice cream, custards, cheese and other defined items. If applicable, please provide awritten description of how you will handle your products so as to be in conformance.

hereby agree to abide by them. Further, I agree to sell at the Market only such items as thoselisted. I also acknowledge those products must be of my own production and produced at thelocation described on my application (unless said exception is preapproved by River MarketCommittee). I acknowledge full responsibility for all my activities in the market (and for thoseassisting me) throughout the term of this seasons permit. I acknowledge the authority of themarket manager(s) to immediately settle any disputes regarding product legitimacy, proceduraland vendor conduct violations subject to appeal under the procedures set forth in the marketrules. I agree to allow for inspection of my records and of the premises where the productsoffered for sale are produced. The market manager(s) and/or representatives of the market will
carry out these inspections at any time. Failure to allow an inspection will constitute a violationof market policies.
