Anthony Socci is 28 and he is 0+ and he desperately needs a kidney transplant. Five hours every day Anthony is hooked up to a dialysis machine and nobody in his family is a match to be a donor. COULD IT BE YOU? Could you become Anthony’s HERO? Could it be YOU who saves his life? Khaled Khatib is 21 and helping Anthony to find his HERO. He is carrying the Torch of Life in the coldest time of the year from Ottawa to Toronto on February 5th - 13, 2013. At almost 500 kilometers, it is like a marathon a day, freezing every step of the way to find Anthony’s hero and save over 4,000 other lives. Anthony’s Step by Step is the charity sponsoring this project. Since its inception in 1996, Step by Step has helped thousands of families that were in need of organ/tissue donations and organized 8 high profile campaigns. On September 5, 2001, Pope John Paul II blessed the Torch of Life at Vatican City and thousands of young people have championed the Torch bringing the message of organ/tissue donations worldwide. Clairmont Humphrey – liver donor
on November 18, 2008, Clairmont Humphrey made a special decision. He decided to donate a piece of his liver to help save a precious life. through the marvels of medical science and the kindness of one man, a life has been saved and to this day is recovering remarkably well.
As a humble man and his love for God, he thought it nothing to come to the aid of a sick child and give back the gift of life to her.
Rob Falbo - Kidney Recipient
Rob lives in Woodbridge with his wife, Jonie and his daughter Charlize Rose. Rob obtained a bachelor of technology at Ryerson university in toronto in 1999. He has been in the media business for the last 25 years and is currently the director of Advertising at the Vaughan
Citizen (Metroland Media Group). Previously, as a photo-reporter for the italian weekly lo Specchio, as well as donna and Sposa magazines. Rob is also the Vice President of Public Relations for Woodbridge toastmasters. He enjoys contributing to many causes and making a positive difference in the community.

barbara is a journalist, a survivor and a self-de-scribed troublemaker.She is perhaps best known for being shot while working at a convenience store, as an 18 year old high school student in 1983. left a quadriplegic, she went on to graduate from journalism school
