$335,874 and cited reasons including: 1) funds cut by Federal and State
governments with added duties.
Bridgeman asked Commissioners and Department
Heads to cut wherever they can and to give the cuts to
Rita Crundwell by March 18 or 19.

Comm. Bridgeman said if we cant cut equipment and suppliesthen that leaves employees and he didnt like to get into that.
Comm. Bridgeman: some of the things that are going to have to
be cut are going to be very important.
Comm. Bridgeman: there was a possibility that the City would
not be getting any income tax surcharge money.
Comm. Bridgeman asked that the Council and Department heads
go back and go through everything and see what they could cut
and give the cuts to Comptroller Crundwell.

Comm. Blackburn advised against cutting the DARE officer and said
that it was very important to the youth of our area. Comm.
Bridgeman said the City could not afford a DARE officer as the
benefits will keep increasing each year.
Comm Bridgeman said the upcoming Council was going to have to
make some serious decisions on a lot of issues. He said if we keep
going at the present rate it would become necessary to cut personnel
if the City did not receive additional tax revenue.

Comm. Bridgeman reported that $151,297 had been cut during the
current session, bringing the deficit down to $222,742. Comm.
Bridgeman informed the Council and Superintendents that he wouldbe getting together with Comptroller Crundwell to make sure the
revenues are as close as can be estimated.

department are needed to reduce the deficit or he would
