Alain was a headlining performer at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for four straight years. He was the international star of four hour-long television specials for TLC entitled “The Mysterious World of  Alain Nu.” On January 20th, 2009, Alain appeared before the living recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor at the Salute to Heroes Inaugural  Ball in Washington DC. Alain’s lecture called "Mentalism 2010”, created a “mental magic show” using  parapsychology and mentalism. He began with his version B- Wave called Nu-Wave. Against a wine glass was propped 4 cards  believed to be the 4 queens. With a set of “imaginary” cards and through audience members  participation in choosing red or  black, and a suit he spread the cards showing only one queen reversed and that was the randomly selected card. The other cards were shown as spot cards. “Does anyone read the horoscopes in the newspaper?” Alain was able to predict which zodiac someone belongs to, without knowing the person or anything about him. His most well-received trick was bending an ordinary, stainless steel spoon which was signed by Reggie Rice. The spoon appeared straight as if they came right out of a kitchen drawer. Alain “uses his mind” to force the spoon into a curved shape. He repeats this again multiple times, adding something different each time. He bent it “U” shaped, straightened it out and then forced the spoon’s bowl to twist 180 degrees. The bent spoon was given to Reggie to keep. According to Nu, “To believe in magic, is to believe in yourself.” Alain closed out the session with several examples of book tests. Prior to the meeting Alain held an optional two hour “Pro Mental Workshop” that was attended by 12 people. The workshop was well received and very educational.
