• Centralized database where product information (masterdata) is stored in a standardized way with common industry rules and standards
• Suppliers upload product data and retailers download it from the data pool
• Used by ≈27 000 trading partners in more than 20 countries around the world

Conclusions and Next steps
• Data Pool can deliver the expected benefits BUT it requires strong commitment from both retailers and suppliers (critical mass)
• System ‘fine-tuning’ required – mandatory Baltic market data attributes and additional data validations to be added
Next steps Finalize internal Rimi system developments – preconditions for
establishing connection
