We are collecting cereal boxes for Rays of Hope, an organization that provides materials to Haiti. These cereal boxes are used to make beaded bracelets and

provide employment and support to local artisans in Haiti. Any standard sized cereal boxes (flaps removed) can be brought to the church office as we help collect them. They go through 400 per day and each box represents 11 jobs to the people of Haiti. Thank you for your support!

We will also have a delicious covered dish lunch and great fellowship. If you are able, please bring a salad, vegetable, or a dessert to help out with the lunch. Don’t forget to invite a friend. Our church family is invited to preregister for VBS before it is open to the public on April 1st. I urge you to sign up as soon as possible since last year it filled up in 2 days! The link is vbspro.events/p/91a0f7. If you need assistance, contact Janine Blakeborough. We are excited for your kids to join us and volunteer opportunities abound!

On Easter Sunday, we will close each worship service with the “Hallelujah Chorus”. If you have ever learned this piece of music, you most likely have never forgotten it. Anyone who is familiar

with this piece and would like to join the choir in singing it on Easter is invited to come up to the choir loft during the last hymn. We will have extra copies of music available, and practice resources can be found on the music page of the church website. For more info, contact Jeanne at [email protected].

Summer Sunday School Teachers Needed! Are you looking for a simple way to get involved that is not a huge time commitment? Children’s Summer Sunday School can be just the thing! We will continue to use our Dig-In Curriculum, which has gotten rave reviews this year. It’s all-digital so you can plan anytime, anywhere, by building in different elements. It includes fun, short videos and games to keep kids engaged. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES TO ACCOMMODATE SUMMER TRAVEL. We divide up into four groups where children will be NEXT school year (2016-2017): 3 yrs – Pre-k K-1st 2nd-3rd 4th-5th This begins on promotion Sunday, June 4th and goes through August 27th. We definitely want children to be engaged in Sunday School during summer break. This worked beautifully last year, and appreciate your consideration to try it out this summer with us. Please contact Janine Blakeborough, Director of Children’s Ministries if interested in helping us this year. You will be helping us give our Sunday School teachers a well-deserved break while getting a chance to try it out yourself. Thank you for being such an important part of our children’s faith journey! Janine
