January 3rd RGSD PD Feedback

Session Title: “McGraw-Hill Science PD” [Elementary]

Session Feedback:

“Would have been helpful to not only go through the electronic resources, but also what

teachers will receive in their classrooms. Even going through how to prep a lab with

students would have been valuable!”

“Excellent program but may need additional professional development with

implementation.”

How the PD Office Responded Based on Feedback: In response to teacher feedback like

the above and discussions with the Curriculum Office, the Professional Development Office

will offer additional PD on implementation of McGraw-Hill Science and other science

programs being piloted by teachers throughout the district on the February 17 PD day.

Session Title: “Teaching Social Skills in a Multi-Tiered System of Support” [SSD]

“Would have been great to have this as a building wide PD so that Gen Ed staff was

included.”

“It would be more effective to have gen. ed. staff participate and collaborate [in this

session].”

How the PD Office Responded Based on Feedback: This session was attended by Special
