When gaming, GPU temperatures are often higher than CPU temps. However, chassis fans usually reference CPU temperatures only, which results in inefficient cooling of the system. For optimal thermal performance, ROG Strix RX 460 features a 4-pin GPU-controlled header that can be connected to a system fan for targeted supplemental cooling.

Simply connect your chassis fan to the fan header on the ROG Strix graphics card; the attached fan will reference GPU temps.

The fan curve of attached chassis fan can be adjusted by using “Professional Mode” within GPU Tweak II.

STEP 2: Enable “External Fan Speed” in Professional Mode

Tick the “External Fan Speed” box

STEP 3: Set the configuration for your chassis fan

• Auto: Follows ASUS default fan curve • Manual: Sets a static fan speed • User Define: Allows setting of a custom fan slope via

an intuitive GUI

• Remember to click on “ Apply” every time after changing the setting *The speed of the GPU cooler fans and connected fans can be controlled

independently in GPU Tweak II.
