ADVANTAGES

Reverse Osmosis has traditionally been utilized for producing low TDS water from sea water or brackish water sources. As the technology has evolved over the past 30 years, many more applications have been developed.

Heavy industry and power generating sectors now utilize Reverse Osmosis as a standard technology to produce high quality water. Membrane developments have lead to higher removal of soluble ions coupled with a reduction in operating pressures which has resulted in Reverse Osmosis becoming an economical technology for soluble ion removal.

The fundamental principle of Reverse Osmosis membrane technology is the use of pressure to separate soluble ions fromwater through a semi permeable material.

The membrane is usually a thin film composite material and is manufactured in a spiral configuration as opposed to a flat sheet or tube geometry. The predominant model used today for industrial applications is the spiral configuration.

Anderson-WPT skids utilize membranes from leading membrane suppliers. Modular design and process-specific criteria allow the greatest flexibility in providing skids that industry requires for the production of high-purity water used in their facilities.

Anderson-WPT skids are custom manufactured to specific clientrequirements. All system capacities can be achieved through modular design. Utilizing these building blocks, flow rates from 100 - 10,000 gpm (0.5 - 50 MLD) and higher are easily designed and can be physically constructed to fit into all variations of foot- prints specified by our clients.
