Electronic Giving with Faith Direct

As you may know, last month we re-introduced a new program for electronic offertory donations called Faith Direct. This program has already had a positive impact on our Sunday collection. I am hopeful that you will join other parishioners and sign up for this service. The program is a cost effective way for the parish to receive donations. For every family that has signed up with Faith Direct, we have been able to eliminate the cost of purchasing and mailing envelopes. This method has also reduced the handling of cash and checks in the rectory and has proven to be a safe and secure method of making a church offering.

If you have any questions, please contact Faith Direct at 866-507- 8757 (toll-free). To enroll in the program, pick up an enrollment form from the parish office or visit www.faithdirect.net and use our parish code: CA748

God bless you.Fr. Phil

World Day of Prayer for Vocations to the Consecrated Life

will be observed on Sunday, April 22nd, also known as “Good Shepherd Sunday.” The purpose of this day is to publically fulfill the Lord’s instruction to “Pray the Lord of the harvest to send laborers into his harvest” (Mt 9:38; Lk 10:2). Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life. Within your own family support and encourage vocations to the consecrated life. Talk to your children and grandchildren of their role in God’s plan. Take the Vocation Cross to your home and pray as a family for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, permanent diaconate and religious life.

Lighthouse CD of the Week:Our Lady of Fatima and the Fall of

CommunismCraig Turner, a well-respected journalist and researcher, shares the unmistakable connection between the apparitions of our Blessed Mother at Fatima in 1917 and the fall of communism in Europe more than seventy years later. This talk is sure to provide a greater awareness of the motherly help and protection that Mary offers mankind through her powerful intercession. The importance of entrusting ourselves to her care has never been so evident as it is today.
